You Know You're Not Dialed-In To Popular Culture When...

Actually I am, because I've been in China for coming on ten years now, and because just some of the things talked about in this thread I've never heard of and made me think about it, like "Big Bang Theory" TV series, I had to Google that.

Definition of that
plural those play \ˈt͟hōz\

  • that is my father
b : the time, action, or event specified
  • after that I went to bed
c : the kind or thing specified as follows
  • the purest water is that produced by distillation
d : one or a group of the indicated kind

See @mikedt , you didn't need to Google That, we deliver That info straight to you!

Yeah I am just gonna zone out here and not really care too much about what you are saying because I want to be an ass hake!

(An ass hake is a very common kind of fish that is so common you always bump I to them pretty much any where!)

Yeah let's zone out of everything - but remember zoning out can be very good for us! :--D

Seriously tho, I know I am behind the times. I have never twittered (tweeted?), kik'd, skyped, redit'd, or whatever the heck else is out there. I consider my use of the phone to be successful if I managed NOT to hang up accidentally on someone I was talking to or if my text message actually says something close to what I tried to say

yeah... no tweeter.. no Instagram... no tinder...
i fought tooth and nail .. to not use facebook. but it does have it's pluses for real family and real friends.

I think
I think I am
Therefore, I am
I Think
Of course you are my bright little star.

There was a time that I lived life on the leading edge as best I could. Read the daily news, watched all of the sitcoms, read all the newly released books and then watched the movie.
I snatched up all of the latest technology and was the first on my block for the latest and greatest gadgets. I hung out in circles of like people that were abreast of the latest theories and conspiracies and spent countless hours of debate. I was political and spent many hours in research and then support of candidates that I thought might lead our country in a positive direction. I spoke the jargon of the in step in touch up to speed in the moment human. Now, not so. I've turned a 180 and I now live in the past. TV, latest books, movies, etc are not my thing. I'm so much out of touch that I bring a smile on people for my lack of. I'm comfortable and happy. Don't bug me and stay off of my lawn. :)

Not dialed in? My wife was admonishing me the other day about all the post-its, scraps of paper, and pads of paper littering my truck dashboard, my desk, the kitchen table, etc. Whenever I am answering a business call I write the info down on anything handy which ends up in piles until I deal with it. I said I need all those notes for different information. She put an app on my phone called S Memo. Who knew I could store all that stuff on my phone??
I still write it down on whatever but I do at least transfer it to my phone now for later use

My one acquiescence to modern technology: I use a bluetooth headset. With as many calls as I deal with in a day I wouldn't be able to get any work done without it :)

Just placed an order for a new one today... Old one broke and I've been using a usb headset like a caveman!
