Help Your connection is not private

I'm having a problem signing onto by online banking page. It works one day then it won't work for a while. It shows a page your connection is not private it couldn't provide a secure connection. I've searched your site and couldn't find a fix? I never had this problem with the droid RAZR but now have the droid turbo. Thanks for any help. Kyle

It might help if you told us which app or which bank's website.

It sounds like for some reason it cannot establish a secure connection, but unless it started immediately after a change of phone, a system update or an app update it's also quite possible that the problem is at the bank's end of the connection. It's really hard to say from the information available (i.e. just what's in your post).

It's my local credit unions website. I've tried in Google chrome and Firefox. It worked for a few weeks after I got the phone. I can try it one time and I can go to the site and log on. Then for the next day or so it won't let me then randomly it'll let me go through. It's strange.

OK, so web browser rather than app. Might be to do with the way a different OS version handles secure connections, or might be at the other end and nothing to do with your phone. Since this is such basic browser technology, and is the same with more than one browser, my suspicion would be that it might be nothing to do with the phone, but that's nothing more than a guess.

Any suggestions on what to try to pinpoint the problem? Another browser? I don't think my bank even has an app. Just odd that it will work on occasion.

The obvious guess is that it cannot establish an https connection. If this is the only site where this doesn't work the simplest answer would be if it's them who has the problem. Hence my first step would be to inform them and see whether they know anything about it.

Wonder if there's some kind of proxy doing it, with the ISP or carrier. You got Droid devices, so I assume you're on Verizon. Does this happen when you're using cellular 3G/4G data or WiFi or both?

Yes Verizon 4g data. Spoke with the bank and they said they've never heard of that problem before that it must be my service or phone. So not much help. It let me sign in once yesterday and I just tried it and it won't let me again?

So what happens when you're not using Verizon 4G data? Like using home WiFi or public or restaurant WiFi, i.e. internet that isn't Verizon Wireless, does it have the same problems there?
