Your server is not responding

I never had any trouble getting my emails with my HTC Sensation but now, one of my gmail accounts gets the message: Your server is not responding. The other gmail account still works fine and the settings are the same on both. I deleted the faulty one and re-created it but same problem.
My settings are:
Imap server: imap.gmail.com
Security Type: SSL
Server: 993
Any clue welcome.

And now it works again. It hadn't worked for 3 days but everything is back now.
