Hi there, new here so apologies in advance if I've posted this in the wrong place.

My problem with my Xperia T has been ongoing since February and has finally got the better of me, basically I kept having to delete my Google account from my phone and add it again as I couldn't use the Play store, update apps or watch You Tube videos. It was annoying that it happened so often but at least I had a workaround.

Yesterday morning I woke up to find the usual warning signs at the top of my phone that apps couldn't update, so I removed my account and that's where the real trouble started. I went to add my account again but it gave me the message in the thread title, I know my password off by heart as I've had my Google account for years and I double and triple checked I was entering it correctly. No dice.
So I went on the PC and changed my password to my account, still I couldn't add my account on my phone and I knew for definite I was adding the correct password. So I set up two step verification, still no joy. I then generated an application specific password and even that didn't work. I then disabled two step verification and tried again with my new password, still no joy.

I've had enough of this phone now as it's been nothing short of rubbish since I've had it when it comes to the account side of things (I love the phone itself but the OS fails miserably), and this is the final straw that's going to push me reluctantly back to Apple.
If anybody could shed any light on this I'd be extremely grateful as if there's a small chance I could sort it I would love to keep the handset, but I think I've exhausted every available fix option as it stands and it's resulted in me hating my phone.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I have seen this before and you will generally be able to resolve it through a repair of the firmware:

To repair the phone software
1. Install PC Companion on a Windows PC from Support at Download for PC - Sony Smartphones (Global UK English)
2. In PC Companion, under Support Zone and click Start.
3. Under Phone Software Update, click Start.
4. Click repair phone.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Thanks for the reply, I'll get onto this when I have time (probably the weekend) and will post back with how it went.
