Youtube app - video quality

I've noticed that when I'm on my mobile network connection (Orange) the quality of the videos in the youtube app are extremely low. However, when i'm connected to a Wi-Fi connection the video quality is very high.

Does anybody know how to change the youtube app settings so that I can keep a high video quality no matter what the connection type??

Normally on 3G the video quality is much lower because the bandwidth on 3G is much lower than it is across your ADSL connection, i.e. your ADSL can support the higher data rate required to provide the higher quality video whereas 3G just isn't up to it.
