Hi, I've been using the YouTube app on my Galaxy S2 for a few days and decided to shoot a test clip & post it direct off the Galaxy.
The app is pretty good and gives options for videos or stills and the videos up to 1080 and the stills much higher.
So I shot a test clip in 720p and hit the upload button but it said "waiting for WiFi" and put an icon in the top left of the screen for the pending upload when Wifi was next available.
I'm a little disappointed that there is no option to upload over 3g because I have an "all you can eat" data plan with Three UK and the speeds are pretty good. I appreciate that uploading over 3g takes a lot of bandwidth for people who have restricted accounts, but I'd like to see the option to upload over 3g for those who are not restricted.
In the end I downloaded the clips to my PC, processed them in Windows Live Movie Maker and then tethered the Galaxy to my PC, opened Chrome and uploaded straight onto YouTube.
It would have been nice to cut out the PC and upload directly to YouTube from the Galaxy S2 over 3g.
