I've been having a problem with the Youtube app on my phone, on the small vertical player, the video seems choppy and skips around a lot, while the sound is fine, and on the full screen player, everything is working fine. I'm pretty sure it isn't the connection speed, since I'm using WiFi.

The phone I'm using is a Samsung Exhibit II 4G, and I'm pretty sure the specs are enough for the video to play fine, so I'm not sure if it's the app or the phone, but it's really bugging me.

Edit: Just played a video on mobile Youtube on the internet browser, and no choppiness, so I have a strong hunch this is the app being dumb, but if anyone can comment or anything that would be nice.

You're not alone in that. Lots of us give up on the app from time to time and just use a browser, as you have.

Make sure your Flash and YouTube apps are up to date using your Market app. If you do get updates on those (unlikely for Flash) try YouTube again, see if the problem goes away. That's about the best that I can tell you. :)

Thanks for the welcome.

I uninstalled the updates for both and tried it in both logical configurations, i.e. updated Youtube App and not updated Flash, and vice versa, but I still seem to have the problem. I just want to know if anyone else with a Exhibit II 4G has this problem too.
