Help Youtube - cancel overlay video?

I apologize if this has already been covered.
I just upgraded to an S5 and noticed with the Youtube app if I use the Back key after a video has been playing I'm taken back to the previous page but the video remains playing in a smaller overlayed window, I can't find a way to kill it via the menu path and have to completely back out of Youtube to cancel the video.

How do I avoid this?

I think you can swipe the video to the left or right to get rid of it

Hit the Double Menu button once to bring up Recent Tasks.

Then as just said, swipe to the left and it is gone.
