Nice, but why did I just lose 3 mB of space? Doen't the update replace the system app? Or does the update really add that much space usage?

I probably should not care, but I am down to 26mB and my phone locks up and prevents new downloads when reaching 15mB..

it doesn't replace the system app unless it's in an OTA update or you root the device and manually replace it that way (move file to /system/app

I'm curious why it doesn't show as an update like the other Google apps do for me. Instead it just shows "install". Works great, though.
 
Thank you for clarifying.

I swear, I am getting a model that actually has a decent size internal memory next time so this wont become an issue at all.
 
way better than the stock youtube app.. although could use a few tweaks here and there but none the less it is a step forward
