YouTube start up error

Okay so I've sorted my phone, But now whenever I go to load up the YouTube application i get a error code as soon as it starts does anybody know how to clear this? Tried downloading update but fails everytime.

Try clearing the data associated with it via the apps menu. Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> Youtube -> Clear Data & Clear Cache.

Hi i tried this just then and it will not let me clear the cache or data?
