Root Youtube Videos won't play :(

Hey I've an htc wildfire s with CM 10. Since a few day I can't watch YouTube videos any more. When I click on the play icon (using the app), nothing happens, and when I open it in the browser (I tried the stock browser, Dolphin, and Boat browser) the video seems to load but then there's just the play icon and when i click it, it loads for a split second and then... nothing!
I tried clearing cache/data and uninstalling the app but nothing seems to work.
I have MX Player and I can watch videos I recorded, or videos on Facebook but no YouTube videos.
Any ideas??

it is always freaky when others have the same exact problem. like this case with me

i will try to describe more details. I have similar set up. htc wildfire s with cm (i think 9). using virgin mobile US. the video on the youtube site would have the big "play" button in the middle of it. pressing the button will result in the typical youtube loading icon for few (5-7) seconds. then the player screen will go black. The progress bar of the video all the way to the end and the play/pause button (on the left of the progress bar) is a play shape. This is the exact view of someone have just FINISHED watching the video. pressing the play button will result in few seconds loading then the same "finished watching" screen. full screen or no full screen similar results.

on another note, watching NORMAL videos is hit or a miss for me. i have tried multiple video players and installed several codecs. All the players sometimes work and sometimes they don't. usually i keep retrying until they play a video. typically those are videos people have sent me through messages
