Z2 Force Emoji's not working

[gerome70]

I've had the Moto Z2 Force active for a couple weeks now, a couple days ago I noticed that emojis show when typing the message, but disappear after sending. Anyone else? Suggestions? TIA

I never use them but putting that aside ...

Typing - what keyboard app are you using? (I use SwiftKey.)
Sending message - what messaging app are you using? (I use chompSMS.)

Whatever came loaded on the device, I haven't changed them
