I'm trying to root my Galaxy S2X. I've followed the "general" installation instructions for Z4Root. When I go to run it however, it just closes (either on the temp root or perm root). When I attempt to reopen it, it says "unfortunately z4root has stopped." I then need to reboot my phone in order to reopen the app.
I attempted to do this back when I had Gingerbread and it would only freeze on me while attempting to root, but now it just closes after a few seconds (I'm currently running Ice Cream Sandwich v4.0.3).
Any suggestions? I'm trying to get rid of the loud camera/video sounds as my carrier no longer gives the option to turn them off
