I have tried 3 different versions of Z4Root, and none of them will root my Galaxy Tab. Any ideas?

Did you UnRooted your Sprint SGT three times? Is your Sprint SGT still working properly? I am sorry asking so may questions because I am just about ready to root my Sprint SGT using Z4Root. Thanks

It wouldnt root it for me. Yes it still works. I posted a tutorial on rooting the sprint version of the tab. That will do the job.

I just installed it a few days ago on a Verizon Galaxy Tab, and both the Temp and Permanent roots seem to be working fine. Titanium backup, softkeys, root explorer, superuser all work fine. I have heard it doesn't work with some of the other carriers, though.

I've been unable to go thru the rooting process, or even start it, and I"m sooo frustrated. I can't get a copy of SuperOneClick as the ShortFuse.org website keeps timing out and other sites I've tried are flagged by Firefox as dangerous. Of course, Z4Root doesn't work on my Sprint-branded unit. Is there another link at which I can get SuperOneClick? Thanks in advance for any help. This is a great forum full of wonderfully helpful folks. I've learned so much!

Another problem (I've begun do dispair of ever getting my Tab rooted ):
Downloaded Kies (v 2.0.0.110.33_25.exe), installed, and ran it. Connected my tab. An error window opened: "Unsupported connection mode alert" which said "Reconnect the device using Samsung Kies (PC Studio) mode. Current connection mode not supported by Kies'.

So, what do I need to do to get my Tab and Kies to talk to each other?

I have the Sprint Tab and a PC running Win 7.

Z4 root worked for me. Make sure USB debugging is turned on and do a full root. It may take a few tries.

Although my Tab is an open UK version, this may help.

I used z4root originally but after flashing the Gingerbread ROM onto it, this didn't let me root it again. However, I used CF-root successfully.

Maybe that would work for you as well?

Does anyone know how to unroot a Sprint 7" galaxy 2.3.4 tab?
I used superoneclick v1.9.5 to root it. There is an unroot function in superoneclick but it hangs on psneuter. Any ideas??
