Root z4Root Droid X problem??

I have been browsing EVERYWHERE to find a solution. When i run z4Root on my droid x it closes out when it says "acquiring root shell". i have tried EVERYTHING!

z4 does not work on 2.3.3 or 2.3.4

I have verified it works with these Motorola devices running android 2.3.4
Droid 2 (a955), Droid 2 Global (a956), R2D2 (a957), & Droid X (MB810)
