zcom 8518 tablet problem

Hi, I'm trying to fix a problem with my friend's zcom8518. He bought it at Christmas and has used it since then, he wanted me to show him more thoroughly how to operate the system. I had it off him and fired it up, it went past the android logo and into load, after that it just failed to fire up futher. Since then all I can get it to do is display the android logo and am only able to switch off using the reset button. Any ideas/solutions?
