What are the main differences between Zefie's and Joey's custom kernels? I am currently running Joey 1.8. I have not tried Zefie's but I do see more posting about it so I'm curious to know the differences.
I switch back and forth but Zefie's 14.2 was no good for me. I had my phone on the charger for 8 hours and it still indicated only 80% full. When I took the phone off the charger it went down to 50% within 45 minutes. I flashed back to joey's, put my phone on the charger and an hour later I was at 100%. By 10pm, I was at 65%.i've heard good things about joey's kernel in terms of things running well... i think he took out a lot of things that aren't really needed to try and optimize the kernel. pretty awesome for someone who's been compiling kernels for such a short time.
that being said, i'm running zefie's 14.2 - it's been running really well - has all the bells and whistles that i'm looking for, he went back to the original graphic drivers so that lines are gone, and now with being able to apply the kernel via recovery it's pretty awesome. plus, i'd say that he knows the moment kernels better than most other people.
but that's imho. they're doing great things over at SDX and zefie's still doing amazing stuff... it's only a win-win for us end-users.
Only donation we ask at SDX is either your time, or if you buy on amazon just use our webhosts referral so he gets a kickback from the profit (costs the user nothing else)... all money donated to the paypal account (my personal one) is not for my use.. it is for the website (different operational costs) and i am trying to save up to possibly buy a vbulletin license (costs 200 dollars.. i have half of it now from donations)I switch back and forth but Zefie's 14.2 was no good for me. I'd post this over on zefie's site but he'll just get mad that I dared to criticize without donating.
I still had lines on Zefie's 14.x but not on Joey's.
I had the lines on 14.3 as well.guess it's individually based. i haven't had lines running 14.2 and higher - he went back to the old drivers (which should be the same as joey's).
I'd go back to a dumbphone before going back to a Windows Mobile device. Although I guess you can get Android to run on the TP2...still, not sure it's worth owning one for that reason alone. Why anyone would would accept a Touch Pro to replace a Moment is beyond me. It's like going back to the Ford dealer and trading a new 2010 Mustang straight up for 2006 Focus with a nasty oil leak.

Gentlemen,
I am running Joey's 1.9 and Max's Recovery 2.0.
Now I am reading about being able to "flash live..."
What does that mean??
Giz
How would I do that? Download to the sd card while it is connected to my computer? Or download via Moment's web browser? Then what?
