I have recently bought a Zero-Fire Ice Walker z75. Firstly this came with android 2.3.4 not the Android 4.0 as advertised when i questioned this my vendor stated that ICS was buggy on this device and so they have downgraded it which seemed a bit odd. I left it at that I subsequently also contacted the manufacturer for the Firmware and was told to contact my vendor catch 22. Now i installed busy box ready to have a go at installing ubuntu on the device i let the battery go flat and now it wont boot up. The manufacturers web site is in chinese and to be fair does not have very much information on it, nor any section for downloads. I am fairly sure the device is not bricked in any way as it does switch on and with a combination of buttons (had to work this out) will boot to the android screen with the android icon and the exclamation mark in a triangle ( i believe from my HTC this is the debug screen) the drives are also detected when i connect it to my compuer w7 X64 though they cannot be accessed (havent tried to format them which im close to doing) My question being, after extenisve search of the internet over a period of weeks I cannot find any roms nor firmware for this device nor can i find the All Winner website (I read on a post somewhere that they have released their firmware under GPL so would like to download it) Does anyone either have any suggestions or know where i can find rom or firmware for this device ?
