.zip are not in zip form

Recently formatted my phone. Today I noticed that any .zip files I download show up like a blank paper, not a zip icon. Then if I try to install it, it aborts. Any ideas?

What app are you viewing them in?

Try looking for root explorer in play store. (you don't NEED to be rooted to use it)

Just by looking into the sdcard they show up that way, no apps used.

Ok ok, I installed esfile explorer and they are now showing up properly. Thanks for the help!
