Zt-180 a good choice for a child?

My 12yo daughter would really like a nook or a kindle. She loves my Nook Color that is running CM7. She loves it and would like the same. Personally I am not sure it would get much use. So I am hesitant to spend that much money on one.

Recently I cam across a open box for a ZT-180 V1 for like $150. I think this would be something she would like. I have been reading the past few days, and I see that some work is required to get android market working. As long as it is not super complicated I think I can manage. I am a Unix user and work in the semiconductor industry. My biggest problem is not being able to get things to work it is following poorly written tutorials.

Her basic needs with this device would be Nook and Kindle apps, calculator, dictionary, and light web browsing. So anyone who has one of these tablets do you think it would I be better off purchasing a Coby Kyros?

Thanks

i bought a upad for 113 dollars, i really like it, mind you i needed to do some tweaking to the tx power and disabling some phone apps to increase battery life.

without wifi it gets decent battery life, and its cheap.

its no ipad but its pretty damn good i must say.

That looks nice this is the 7 inch made by Zenithink right? Does google market work out of the box? It seems like from I saw in a thread that all you need to do is root the tablet to turn off the phone apps.

I think I will do some more looking tonight and maybe order one. thanks for the suggestion.

google market does work.

i erased the telephony.apk and talk.apk and bluetooth and it disabled cell standby and increased battery life alot.
