Help ZTE Avid cant connect to playstore

Cant connect to google playstore. Tried enabling and disabling google apps but no luck. Don't know how to access background data settings on this phone. Don't think it has that option. It just gives me the option to set the limit for the background data. Already messed with that as well. No luck with anything so far. One last thing, seems like the LTE isn't working properly. the 4G is on but it isn't colored blue since the day I started having this problem. Andy ideas?

Find the nearest Metro store?

As far as the Play store, you can access it on a web browser (you may have to log into your gmail account), even from a computer halfway around the world, and install from there. It'll still install to your phone.

Thanks. Tried doing what you said online. Selected an app to download (from online) and it said it was installed. However, it didn't download onto my phone itself.
