Help Zte Avid replacement battery

I've had my Avid for about 6 months and the factory battery is getting short life.
I am used to Chinese OEM batteries not lasting very long.

Does anyone know of an extended life aftermarket battery for this phone?

though luck mate these phones don't have a customer base large enough for 3rd party manufacturers to justify manufacturing accessories...

I'm not sure how you could have had this phone 6 months now when it's only been available for 4.

If it needs a new battery after just 4 months, it's even a bigger POS than I thought it was already.

did u try to calibrate it to see if that fixes it. I had a problem the other day with mine. it completely discharged. so I put it on the charger and all that happened was the notification light just blinked red but never charged the battery. so I took it out and put my backup battery in (I had a extra battery from sending my first phone in for a defect, they only want phone not battery sent) after about a hour I retried the battery that discharged again, but this time as soon as I powered up the phone it started (like it was suppose to) and charges no problem. I guess u can just let it discharge all way and then pull the battery for 10 mins or so and see if that helps.

My wife and I have both had this phone, since January. She was leaving hers plugged in overnight usually, and after about two months the battery died. The MetroPCS rep told us that we shouldn't leave the phone plugged in overnight, because it over-charges the battery!! We ordered a replacement battery from them, but it's on back-order and no knowing when it will ever come in. We got a 1400mAh replacement from Ontrion, which worked fine, but she left it plugged in overnight last night, and now it is dead too!!

This seems like a defect in the phone's charging circuit, but I don't know what I can do about it.

I was thinking of getting one of those high-capacity external batteries for this phone, and using THAT device to charge the internal battery in the phone. Will that work??
