The GPS on my Awe stopped working. Every time I lunch Maps I get large circle around my location. I have gps satellites enabled in the settings.

Any tips on how to fix this? I uninstalled Maps updates but I still have the same problem.

I using a rooted stock rom.

fist question have u restarted ur phone latly it van make a big difference

I tend to have problems with GPS locking on as well. If I reboot it seems to work, but turning it on and off doesnt lock it on well. Does anyone else have this issue?

I just have goofy behaviors when I'm driving. GPS seems to get confused, mostly when stopped at intersections, so if I miss the correct direction given, it often wigs out and changes it's mind, becoming totally unreliable.

That's strange. It's been working perfectly for me. Did this just start happening? Wonder if the newest version is causing problems. Try cleaning cache and dalvik. This used to help with GPS problems on the Elite.

It started happening recently. It seems others have similar problems. My wife also has an Awe and her phone started having the same issue.

I tried restarting my phone, clearing the cache and dalvik and it still doesn't work.

Same problem here. GPS hunts forever for signal. It started a month or two ago. I am using AWE Inspired Moonshine ROM.
BTW, I wiped cache and dalvik. No difference.

Every time I reset my GPS stops working. To get it to work again I start the GPS, turn it off, then wait like 5 min and it will connect almost instantly when I turn it back on. Tried a GPS diagnostic and it shows that when I restart it is unable to connect to any GPS satellites. On slimkat rom.

Well, tired of having a semi-functional GPS, I went ahead and changed the ROM. I tried "L"Awe and cm-11. With both I get an instant GPS fix. I bet that I if had just reset the ROM I had it would have work. Probably something I installed broke it. Anyway now I pretty happy with cm-11 and I am sticking with it. It solved also some other problem I had with BT music that would disconnect.
