Root ZTE Blade update to Gingerbread help

Hi All

Last night I updated my Blade to gingerbread 2.3.3 with mod version CyanogenMod-7.0.3-Blade and the problem was that initially it did not have the Market App on it, neither did it have the GMail App. So I have installed them fine and now an issue remains whereby when i tap on the App it opens and closes. By this I mean it opens very very briefly with just a white screen. This is the same for both Apps.

Can anyone help me before I go mad.

sounds like ur google account is missing m8
check in Settings, Acconts+Sync +check if its there.
if not click Add Account+see if it lets u

Also, you could try clearing the dalvik cache in recovery.

i think the rom u installed might not have included google apps (gapps)
u might have to download+flash that or flash a rom with that included

Cyanogen doesn't come with those installed by default. Rather than install them manually, was there a gapps zip file on the download page? It needs to be flashed in CWM.

think if u use rom manager to flash cyanogen, it asks u if u want to install gapps as well

Follow guide on the official forum, it's pretty easy. Of course you void the warranty when upgrading to Cyanogenmod.
