ZTE Majesty MMS problems

Hello. I recently bought a ZTE Majesty, it's my first smart phone. I'm on Straight Talk (CDMA-V, verizon towers). With the stock messaging app, when friends are doing Group MMS (a mixture of iphone/droid users) I receive each message individually from the participants rather than as a group MMS. I couldn't find any settings to enable this type of thing, so I downloaded Textra. What a nice app, super light-weight, fast, and aesthetically pleasing. However, this will not even receive the individual MMS messages as I'm testing it. For the life of me, I cannot find the APN settings in this phone...so the MMS settings in Textra are all but useless.

Does anyone have any experience for group MMS on this phone? (or the Savvy, as it's the same exact thing more or less)

Okay well, I solved it myself. For future people who are searching for this info, here's what fixed it for me (with Textra). Simply put

http :// mms.vtext . com/servlets/mms (without spaces) in your Textra MMSC section. It took me a while to find because all the searches for CDMA APN on straight talk are for the t-mobile and AT&T ones.

ZTETRAVESTY, Thank you for the URL, it worked. Yay!
Not sure, I would have found it on my own.
Husband has the Majesty and picture text have been glitchy at times. He can receive them just fine but sending would sometimes result in a strange looking icon for the recipient. Usually, a restart would fix the problem but yesterday nothing would work. I searched for an hour before finding out about TEXTRA and saw your post.
If you are reading, thanks again and Happy 4th.

What the original poster is describing, is the normal behavior for messages, you will receive each one individually.

Try sending a picture message from another cell phone to the Majesty. If the Majesty receives it, then MMS is working.

Is the picture message sent to your phone, being sent as an email message?

I have this phone and cannot send a picture by mms. Anyone know why? It acts like its too big. It tries and tries to send it but finally gives up. My Nokia E71 would send the same picture, but not this phone.

I have the zte through straight talk and i actually took the phone back and got a different one the galaxy ace because I thought that the reason my mms was not working was because of the zte but now my galaxy just does the same thing... ive never had a problem with straight talk but I can honestly say right now I feel they need to fix their problems majorly

If you ported a number over to Straight Talk (or any carrier), it may take up to three business days for all of the services to work.

When I once ported a number from T-Mobile to metroPCS on a Friday, their services began to work piecemeal, I was able to place calls, set up voicemail and use data immediately, Messaging did not work until the following Monday.

Since the problems above now do not appear to be the individual phone, it must be related to the phone number. You need to contact Straight Talk to get them resolved.
