ZTE merit root

[christmas22]

I found a post on here a while ago, which I cant seem to find again that showed how to root the ZTE merit. I am horribly ignorant of all this stuff, I will admit...I am a crossover from the iPhone. I cant seem to find the drivers for my phone to make anything work. I always thought I was pretty good on computers, until I tried to root my phone....thanks for any help.

please see the info on the ZTE Merit/Avail forum down the list on the main Android Forums page--there's a few members there and active threads on easy methods to root the Merit phone.

But...don't expect any real custom ROMs to exist. like my favorite CyanogenMod, as none are working right now...i'm still trying though--as i refuse to have a device without CM 7 at least; the only ROMs currently available are stock ROMs with some slight modifications and themes going on.
