on my ZTE Merit, it says "storage card updates:copy update package to storage card for updates" I was wondering where I would find this update package and how to copy it to my storage card?

not something I put there but it shows up in the about phone section under settings
out of ideas

Don't worry about it. They have not send out an update for it yet. if they did you would get a notification and then copy it.

It's called a "T-Card" setting.
It is a setting to "restore" the base firmware. You load the correct file in a folder called "image" on the sdcard, run that setting, and when the phone reboots itself, it restores the phone to "factory condition"
Unfortunately, we cannot find a "T-Card" image for the Merit.
Works GREAT on the Avail (returns it to a "factory stock" phone.)
DO NOT USE THE AVAIL T-CARD IMAGE ON THE MERIT!!!
