Help ZTE midnight app compatability

I've recently bought a ZTE midnight and went to download snapchat to find out that my "device is not compatible with this version". I have android version 2.3.7 and I don't believe there is an update for the phone. Is there anyway to get snapchat on this phone at all?

Does the snapchat playstore page mention which Android versions it's compatible with? If your version is too low then it just won't run on your phone I'm afraid

... I found this which claims it will only work on android 4.0 or above
