Lurker
My friend's ZTE n800 got stuck in the green android animation after the phone's battery died. The phone has Stock ROM and I have tried the following:
wipe data from stock recovery. It bootloops into the green android.
I have trien to install the update.zip provided on the ZTE support site, but it gets aborted at 25%

What else can I do? I wanna be able to get into the bootloader and install a custom recovery, but I cant do it.

any help?

Hope it helps! Sorry i didn't see your thread earlier.

Having this same exact problem tried to root, first it got stuck in recovery then after removing the battery and even letting the phone die completely, still no fix, phone will not allow me to get into the FTM mode.

Have you read all the threads in the is there a hard brick fix yet? They helped the person and got it running again. Like i said in my previous post make sure you have the correct drivers. The ones that come with the phone don't supply adicuit drivers for adb and fast boot. Well at least fast boot.

Was wondering if you guys have fixed your problems yet.

I've kinda fixed my problem I got the hard boot to work from the previous instructions, and I was able to install a few ROMs thru the TWRP recovery BUT the ROMs has the same issues and I think it stims from the recovery, when I dial from the phone it automatically turns into a conference call with the number I dial and a unknown number so a installed another dialer app and still got the same results, camera app is not working and text messaging app isn't working, I can receive but not send. Same issues on all ROMs. And also when rebooting in recovery it automatically takes me back to CMW recovery instead of the TWRP recovery from the brickfix.bat with the CMW recovery, its basically useless, I can only backup and wipe, I cannot install ROMs or GApps any other zips I also can't do anything else on it without it freezing up and restarting, I have to juss use the brickfix.bat over and over. I tried to install the stock VM ROM from the update.zip but I can't even do that with neither recovery. Thanx again, Any help is appreciated!!! :)

Hmm.. Looks like you need help from a developer. Repost this in the one-click fix thread and see if brittnearl can help or someone else as they may have to help you with similar steps from the am I hard bricked thread. I am not familiar with those types of commands that much.

Yes I've tried almost every Rom same results and I don't know if you can see the pic but I was using the update zip from ur forum as the example. It doesn't even load before the getprop error. I want to change to the twrp recovery but I can't. Read my first post for exact details of what's going on.

I have read ur first post and it states u used the Virgin mobile zip not my update.zip... Also while fastbooted to trwp try installing the twrp recovery if u get errors post what exactly they are... After u get error post ur log... Ur rom issues sound like incorrect formatting issues... (Dirty flash)... Cwm and twrp will only install custom roms or my modded update.zip the virgin zip will only work with stock recovery... Alway format data and system manually... If u get cant read log errors in cwm pull batt and try again... I highly recommend twrp though... Hope u get it sorted

How exactly would I do that? I tried and still when I restart I get the cmw recovery which I can't get rid of

1. Find a way to get the TWRP zip onto the SD card for your phone. Get the oldest version, clockwork mod can flash this no problem.

2.Boot into clockwork mod, find the option to "install zip", then select "install zip from SD" (my memory is fuzzy about the exact words) find and select TWRP on your SD card and flash it.

3. Try booting into recovery. Let me know what you got.
