I have a ZTE z981 with TWRP installed. I have flashed the stock rom, dm-verity, and magisk v16.7. During setup when trying to add a Google account (or when skipping adding an account) the just a sec.. loading screen appears for a second before a "Gmail has stopped" message occurs and kicks me back to the account screen. This happens every time. Is there a way to bypass the setup wizard? Should I flash a custom rom? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

did you make a nandroid backup before flashing the stock rom? why did you flash a stock rom? if anything re-wipe and re-flash the rom.
