I have had a B63M that have the MTK6573 ... the only way to have flash player working (IMHO) is to install Flash Player ArmV6 10.1 and Puffin Browser from the Play Store ...
 
Hello, i have a big problem with my Vodafone 3G SIM cards in slot1, after reboot/network reset i am booked in for 1 second but afterwards the card didn
 
i have dual sim,video calling,Star A1200 Android 2.3.4, 3G WCDMA,4.3 inch Capacitive screen, MTK6573, dual cameras, G-sensor cell.any body have new rom for this dual sim mtk6573 in which preinstalled adobe flash player also present.

i thought that the newest ROM delivers the newest baseband version(v1.5e etotalk).
At the moment i have this version istalled:
U960V1.0.2B03T and SIM2 U960V1.0.2B03W.
Is your linked version older or newer or did perhaps the older version work better?

I updated the baseband version and took the 128k version and afterwards my network was stable and works fine, i took a XP because with my Win7 it didn

Writing a baseband software, especially one for a new chip used in one phone only requires skill and documentation that only few people have, possibly even ZTE use a precompiled baseband SW from Spreadstrum and use it as is or with few modifications.

I just managed to get it earlier from an unofficial way.

EDIT: I just read that you used the B12 included with my rom, correct ?

That baseband that was not enough to fix our problem with 128K.
If it fixed your problem there isn't any reason to update it again,, but the baseband I was speaking about is newer and is linked on post #65 of this thread.

I linked the baseband to etotalk well before posting it here, clearly they cared very little about my info.

BTW I believe ZTE itself will start to update the baseband in the recent phones.

For the record I understood very recently that altough the Spreadstrum chip is a dual standard (TD-SCDMA/WCDMA) capable chip it is used only for the SIM 1, the SIM2 is managed by the Qualcomm CPU itself.

This means two things

#1 there is a different baseband for SIM2 (that requires a different flashing procedure)

#2 theoretically could be possible, with the right baseband SW, to have a real dual 3G phone with both SIMs enabled to the European 3G
 
Hello solutor, these things are very interesting maybe it is possible in the future to get 3G speed also in slot1, but can you tell me what happens if i flash a new ROM - is the baseband version normaly included in the Rom or did i have to flash it seperately with research download in the future?
At the moment all works fine only the provider(vodafone) is displayed as 26202 only but this is a small thing.
It it very regrettable that etotalk cares so little about the problem, because i myself and another ZTE user asked them a lot of times to offer a new/fixed baseband version.
other questions:
Could you tell me if it is possible to make the inactive buttons(WLAN,bluetooth,GPS,sisplay rotation,...)more visible because in sunlight i only could see the active icons by the green bar and not the inactibe icons?
Is there a way to turn the volume during a call a little louder(the software volume is turnd loudest already) by codes?
Is there a way to turn the loudspeaker level a little louder by codes(media is turned loudest)?
The ZTE U960 is a good dual acive phone but the Dual Sim funktions are made better on the cheap china clones - i must say.
It should be possible to give Sim one and two on the dialing screen a name and seperate colors for Sim one and two on this screen and on the Network display at the top of the phone.

Usually the roms in zip format are meant to update just the userland, some of them will update also the kernel image and the fat partition with the join me sw.

BTW a look inside the zip is enough to understand what is meant to be updated, baseband, kernel and other images are relatively big .bin files

At least, they managed to send me the flashing tool i found as attachment on a Chinese forum,, this helped to solve the problem

Icons can be easily replaced directly inside the apk (which is a zip file with a different extension) most of the relevant icons are stored in framework-res.apk, phone.apk and settings.apk

BTW personally I prefer to use widgetsoid to quickly switch the functions I use frequently

I'm almost sure the volume is now lower than in the earlier roms, I haven't looked in to it, and fraknly i don't know if is a matter of baseband, userland, kernel

Btw I used a tiny sw for my old Desire Z to boost the volume that was one of the few defects of that phone I don't remember its name but I found it on XDA.

I already wrote it more than once, my old HD9 was way more handy on the dual SIM management side.

Looks like that the better brand lead to a poorer SW. Some nokia asha can't even turn off one of the two SIMs and can't differentiate the ringtones between the SIMs.

Anything is possible but the sources of the ZTE SW are still not available, so something like replacing the SIM1 writing with some more descriptive text could be possible, decompiling the apks with apktool, replacing the network names too (I did it) but this would be a personal workaround, not a solution.
 
Thanks again for your detailed explanations of my questions.
At the moment my U960 works and this is the most important thing, everything else is not so urgent.I am happy at the moment to have a working phone.
But ZTE/Etotalk could still improve a few things so that the phone is more user friendly concerning the dual sim functions - let's see what will happen in the future, or if they are already working for the next phone and only U960 errors are fixed.

ZTE U960 ROM MOD CATTY V1.5.1

ZTE_U960_MOD_Catty_v1.5.1_wipe make the wipe of the data partition

ZTE_U960_MOD_Catty_v1.5.1_nowipe do not make the wipe of the data partition

List of changes:
Added two personal ringtones
Fixed some translation of the main menu
Circle battery indicator in steps of 1%
New kernel with memory increased from 353 to 379 MB
busybox 1.19.0
Enabled adb unsecure
Enabled init.d script and inserted the following script:

04zipalign
05sdcardspeedfix

V6SuperCharger

The rom is obviously no guarantee. If something happens on the phone do not blame me, I'm experimenting on my phone and share what I have done with the community!

Before installing the rom make a complete BACKUP of your current ROM and data.

To install the ROM:
- Copy the zip file in the root of the sdcard outside.
- Enter in recovery mode and select "Install zip from SD Card"
- Choose the zip copied on sdcard.
- Wait until the installation process.
- Restart the phone.

Before installing V6SuperCharger enabled once WIFI.
The V6SuperCharger file is called "v6sc.sh" and is located in /system/xbin.
When installing V6SuperCharger click integration with build.prop and init.rc.
