Is there anything I can do to help you I really want to root my phone
This screen says "Sorry, failed to obtain Root. It is recommended that you use a higher success rate of the PC version Kingroot PC"

I even went thru a bunch of dialer codes/hidden menus trying to find ONE that would react to Fastboot. No success but in all fairness I didn't try EVERY code but I did try a bunch. Found an MEID changer in there somewhere too..

Well it'd seem this phone can't be rooted , real shame thou i was thinking of getting it myself would've been a nice upgrade to my Sequent but i think everyone made a good enough effort.

Have you tried "sudo adb reboot bootloader" from Linux terminal? I doubt the sudo will make a difference, but it might.

I think this may be the last ZTE phone I'll get.. I have a brand new Warp 4G on standby for when this gets broke.. After these..?? I dunno. May go LG or Motorola instead. At least most of those are still root able in newer release models. I was really liking these ZTE phones.. Even broke down and installed github. Lmao.. Was gonna try to go all out on this Sync

Yeah, ZTE is annoying. Hopefully the Sync will get rooted at some point. It looks like jcase over at xda has found a temp root for the zmax, so keep hope alive :)

There's this video i saw on youtube don't know if it's legit but it shows the Sync been rooted, some sort of toolkit program for windows or mac.
First link shows program features
Second link shows Zte Warp Sync being rooted

This seems to be a paid app about $40. If someone wants to give it a shot go for it. I can't find contact info to call and ask questions or to verify it really roots the warp sync. This worries me a bit.

i almost paid for it but wasnt excited about spending money for tricky marketing that couldn't back up its hype

I was thinking the same thing doesn't seem legit specially when comments on the videos are disabled and no way to contact them.
Guess we just keep waiting and hopefully someone comes up with a root method.

It's called wondershare mobilego.I tried it over five weeks ago.It doesn't work for warp sync. You can find cracked versions all over the net.It does work for lots of other phones.

The closet I got was the pc version of kingroot. It takes about 15 minutes.Phone woll reboot about 5 times while it downloads some files and causes your camera app lite to flash a few times.Ultimately it fails. You ara left with fuzzy icons and display but a factory reset takes care of that.Maybe its been updated now.Like I said I no longer have a computer.

Hello guys looks like your have a problem getting your Zte devices rooted... I have a zte zmax and we are no closer then you guys are at getting root... I have been reading some pass post and I see your phone is similar to ours... DFU Mode, FTM Mode, adb working, no bootloader, no fastboot, Do you guys have a stock recovery?

Yes we do.. Very frustrating. Even turned my laptop into a Super-Rooting machine and still no luck.. A friend of mine actually asked me the other day if I could Root their phone. I said "almost anything but the Zmax & My phone!" And that's exactly what they had, lmao...

Spoke with ZTE again and got into tech Dept: They swear up & down that they can't provide an unlocked bootloader because they programmed this phone to the CARRIER'S specifications! Meaning Boost Mobile holds the cards..??
