Root ZTE Warp Sync - All Things Root Guide

So just wanted to remind anyone who is going to use any ZMax ROMs on the Warp Sync that these builds much like any warp sync ROMs usually have custom kernels built into the ROM. If you backup a kernel for a warp sync ROM using flashify or rashr you might be able to rectify any issues. (MAYBE) And everything I'm doing with my device is on me and you if you try any of this. Now the kernel for Broken 6.0.1 built by dfuse seams to be working great on the warp sync as is. But I have synthetic kernel and a CM13 6.0.1 kernel for the warp sync backed up incase any issues arise. Nice ass work on Broken 6.0.1 duse. I love this ROM & it's dark system setting ui. BEAUTIFUL!!! Im a sucker for dark themes. Be nice if all ROMs at least had the option to switch from light to dark for everything. But if I want it build it. Just wanted to put this out there for folkes who wanna run Broken 6.0.1 or any roms/kernels for the zmax. And to say dfuse has done some great work with Broken. Check it out. But its all on you!
 
Ok so for all who don't realize Broken has had a lil make over. Boot img everything is quite different. A lot sweeter in my opinion check it out! It can be found in warp sync thread here at he beginning where its always been but its been changed quite a bit.

Lmao, Thanx for the attachment but.. I discovered Root for the Sync with KR well over a year ago and now we have custom ROMs, recoveries, ect. Ur a bit late bro but we still thank you.

Kingo has come along way as well in my opinion & has got the job done where even Kingroot wouldn't. Its also perfect for easily switching to SuperSU straight up no hastle due to its Temp root feature and easy SU integration. Meaning no su block like the newer Kingroot v's [emoji57]

Update on some info here. OK first off Gummys backed up kernel doesn't workout on PacROMs 4.4.4 KK OS from the zte zmax as I initially reported. After further testing things such as CPU cores not workin properly, random reboot prone at times, maybe a miss calculation off battery %. as well as other possible inconsistencies. DO NOT ATTEMPT!!! Myself I can tweak a few things and get er workin rather well at times others not so much. Point is its just not compatible. the only Kernel for the Zmax that I knw of and have ran absolutely succsefull is the zmax synthetic Kernel yet even that kernel as a few defects ran on the warp4. So I'd you're thinking of trying my initial tested methods as mentioned ubove. I'd forget about it. And apologize for the reports late explanation.

I left the one about ROMs with various kernels and how synthetic kernel works with 5.1.1 sync ROMs yet it takes out WiFi with most roms and camera is upside down while in use with the sync. I hope that clearifys and sets things straight. I don't knw I can get some "odd ball" mixtures of ROMs zmax or other and some kernels from the sync to roll OK others have issues and I don't recommend its process or integration and/or mismatch. So jus play it safe folks and run what works properly and has been thus far.

It seams I gathered some info wrong on another members part. So Im going to do a 24 hr test on various and multipal kernel & rom combos.
 
Love all you're work Phenomx4 thank you for all you have given us Sync owners. I have downloaded Tesla ROM from you're basketbuild, boots up but system won't "start up" Just wondering if there was anything I could do on my end to "mod" this issue & get er runnin for us? Sorry to bother you with this shit & I know how you operate & build ROMs on top of ROMs for multiple devices and with the quickness & realize you have other shit to do and going on, So please pardon my enquiry and thanks again for youre work bro. OK I got the sync yesterday and immediately found this thread rooted my phone and installed cm13. I flashed the APN fix but I am not able to send texts or make calls. Any help?
 
Didn't need this flash any APN fix for our Boost mobile CM13.. The fix is for ppl trying to run a metro/T-Mo Zmax ROM on the Sync.

If not I'll find it. Very nice work on all of this, I must say I was Leary when my wife picked these phones but thus makes it worth while.
