Help ZTE Wifi and Email Problems

Mushatsu

Lurker
First off, I'd like to say hi. This is my first post here, and I have limited experience with android os. My Warp is running B08 unrooted.

I've noticed problems with transitioning to 802.1x encryption. It was originally setup with XpressConnect. I have little other choice than to use this wifi source when I'm at school. The work around that I've found has been to turn off wifi until I get where I'm going, then turn it on. Anyone having similar problems?

Also, I've been having problems setting up my school email. It ran through Windows Live and has the following format - first.last@xxx.xxx.edu -. I can setup up my hotmail account just fine. But everytime I try live, I get an error saying that my username or password are incorrect. I'm thinking that it may be an issue with multiple extensions on the email address, and am wondering if there might be a solution. Or if I should contact ZTE/Google to point out the problem.

The only other problem that I ever have is with Words with Friends. But that's Words with Friends, and it will only be fixed if Zynga wants to .

Thanks for any assistance!

I dont understand about your wireless problems. But for windows live mail theres an app for that.
Windows Live Hotmail - Download Android Apps : Android Community - For Application Development

I can always use the browser to access my email vs and app that redirects through the browser. I'm looking for something that allows will allow me to use either pop3 or exchange activesync. Guess I should have been a little more specific. I appreciate the effort and quick responce though. :)

Well, I do not know actually if this can help you, but I'll try.
I used to work for DadeSchools as computer tech. We had issues setting stock mail app to use schoolboard exchange server. I solved that using MailDroid app, but is not free, this app can handle almost every email server, including pop, imap, exchange, etc.

I have the same problem with my University's e-mail ( we use outlook live ) after going through countless permutations of options, securities, and settings I finally got an error that said something to the effect of "your phone does not support security needed for this account" not quite sure exactly what it said if you need it I'll troubleshoot it again and get it, so as far as I know our phones cannot support IMAP outlook/live servers

Bummer. Guess I'll just setup a bookmark and check it every so often while I get some info on the pay app. Thanks for the help guys!
