please help find a way to root this phone.... pretty please. I had ZTE z987. masterchief87 help me alot and hroark13 wrote programs for me to root it...... it was awesome now I got a new phone zte z988 need root for it. help please lol.......

Its basically the same phone as the zte zmax pro, MasterChief is working on getting root for it so currently there is no root exploit for both phones, sorry check this forum when our phone gets root there is a good chance that it can be ported to your phone as well, but we have to get root first http://androidforums.com/threads/zte-zmax-pro-z981-root-discussion.1055354/

Hroark13 and masterchief.... I don't know if this helps or anything but when I tried to recover my pictures with my laptop on my ZTE Z988 grand x Max 2 it gave me temporary root to do it.......... is there any way to keep that root

I noticed if you go into dev options, there is a way to unlock oem bootloader.... Is there any progress on this phone
