Root ZVC rooting problem

So...im kinda new to this rooting thing. I was able to root my optimus m (thanks to the one-click app) but trying to root my esteem seems to be a bit tricky. Ive successfully downloaded the drivers to the comp and have tried both the zvb/zvc root from PG and crew and the one from the vulnerfactory site and i cant get it passed that "daemon started sucessfully" thing that ppl on here seem to have an issue with . My phone is on internet connection and USB debugging is checked. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

WELCOME BRO TO AF
TRY THIS ONE OUT MY BUDDIE PUT THIS TOGETHER FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS EVERY THING U NEED IS IN THIS LINK http://androidforums.com/esteem-all-things-root/512317-guide-x2-update-zvd-root-zvd.html

I followed that video step by step and I was still stuck on that daemon thing. I have to be doing something wrong and I cant figure it out

Thats the same drivers I downloaded. Ill try and reinstall it. If that doesn't help am I goin to have to upgrade to ZVD?

I prefer to root zvc then upgrade but if upgrading is the last resort then so be it

The problems seems to be that the the additional drivers needed for composite device and adb are not installing.
Suggestion: delete every instance of the LG drivers from your CPU .run a disk cleanup then reboot cpu...plug your phone in..put in internets Conn mode..see if the two drivers mentioned above load. Also when you first connect the phone does the autorun.exe window appear? If so run that.
Holla back prior to reinstalling the drivers from the zip.

Ok...so im pretty sure i deleted anything with the lg drivers i originally installed on the cpu and did a disk cleanup. And yes that autorun thing came up when i plugged the phone into the cpu but i didnt hit it...im not quite sure what its suppose to do. Sorry if im difficult...i dont have insurance (like an idiot) so im trying to take it step by step. You guys are awesome when it comes to this stuff and i appreciate your help and patience

I understand..it won't harm your phone..not what we do on here. It will allow the additional drivers to be installed that are needed to complete our mission of getting your phone rooted
Every phone/ CPU is its own beast so to speak(behaves differently).
I'm just going this(easier less time consuming route) to see if we can get it done:D

True. Well...i did that autorun and it said my device is ready to use so where do we go from here...back to reinstalling the drivers?

Ok so ill take that as a yes :D. I see there are two links with the same driver...one is the driver itself from vulnerfactory and the other one is an AIO with the root and recovery. Which route should I take?

ROOTED! Thanks for all the help on this lovely process. Now how do I flash roms and stuff since i dont have a custom recovery?

Someone else actually had the same question after root earlier..this post covers all the basesI'm new to rooting, help? - Android Forums
I love success stories;)

Well before you follow that thread: http://androidforums.com/esteem-all-things-root/520398-im-new-rooting-help.html#post4117039
You will need to go to the Market and Download Rom Manager, once done open it up and click FLASH CLOCKWORKMOD RECOVERY and scroll down to LG Esteem click it and should start the Recovery process it might ask you for root acces and click Allow and when it's all done you could now go on and follow that thread :)

Make Sure to make a Backup of your Current Rom.!!!!!!
