The question may sound stupid, but it's for real. I use True Phone as my default phone app – good program. The only thing it does not seem to have is a way to report a number as being spam. In my old phone, a Pixel 3XL, I used the default google phone app to do this, but some time ago, this app insisted that it be the default dialer. So, I turned off automatic updates, installed an older version, and it worked fine.

Today, I got my Pixel 7 Pro ready to go. I again installed True Phone, but when I tried to install the old version of the google dialer, I was told that it will not run because of the newer version of Android.

So, my (hopefully simple) question is this: What is a good, and easy, way to block and report a number as spam?

I have a new, rooted Pixel 7 Pro and have installed Nova 7 to manage some of the settings. There are three things that I cannot figure out and it could just be that I am very accustomed to the older version of Android...

• The status bar at the top of the screen no longer appears. Yes, I can see it on occasion, but it should always be there. Not sure what I may have done to hide it...
• My previous phone, which ran Android 10, had a 'arrow' at the bottom so that you could go back one screen. I see no such thing on this phone and the only thing I can do is close the app and start it again. What's going on?
• The keypad on my old phone had various symbols above the letters - long press the key and the symbol appears. With this phone, I have to switch to a different keyboard layout screen. Anyway to get the previous functionality back?

One other thing. On the old phone, I could swipe up from the bottom of the screen and see the running apps. If I then swiped an app up, it stopped running. On this phone, I have no idea how to see the running apps and when I swipe up on an app, I think it simply moves it into the background. Is this a fundamental change or am I missing something?

My new Pixel 7 Pro is up and running. I have been able to make and receive phone calls. I have been able to send SMS'es and have received a SMS from a person in my contact list. However, I cannot receive SMS'es from anyone not in the contacts list. I am working with Google Fi and am using Text Free Online - Send SMS messages worldwide to test, and still nothing.

Not sure if it matters, but my phone is rooted.

What should I do?

I have used MyPhoneExplorer with my Pixel 3XL for years with no issue. For me, MyPhoneExplorer is a very helpful, useful program.

I just upgraded to a Pixel 7 Pro and installed MyPhoneExplorer on it. On my computer, I launched MyPhoneExplorer, clicked on 'Add User', and selected WiFi (under connect via). I ran MyPhoneExplorer on the phone, clicked the QR code on the phone, and had the phone read the QR code on the computer. However, at this point, the computer pops up the message: "Connection to phone could not be established: Phone could not be identified."

What on earth is going wrong???

I have been looking all over, but have not yet found a solution that works. I have a new Android 13 phone and want to move a few apps, like Enjoy Sudoku, from my old Android 10 phone. The reason I want to move the app is that that the app's data, like the number of puzzles I have solved, comes over. What are some ways to do this?

Google Backup doesn't seem to work (and does not provide the ability to select apps), AirDroid moved the app but not the data, etc...

Why is Google not its own group like the other phones?

I am building a new phone, a Pixel 7 Pro. Things are going okay and I am about to activate it.

One issue: I just used SMS Backup & Restore to transfer my SMS messages and call log from the old phone to the new phone. Worked fine, and if I launch the default message reader, I see all of myy text messages. However, when I launch Textra, my default SMS app, I don't see any of them! What can I do to resolve this issue?

For about a month now, I've had a problem with my LG Velvet android phone. I had to get my screen replaced and ever since then I can no longer use to Google voice-to-text feature. It responds if I say "Okay Google" but, if I try to press the voice-to-text microphone button on either the Google search option or if I'm writing something in general. After noticing this I brought it back to a place in the mall which replaced the screen and had a new microphone installed and the problem still persists. Additionally, I just noticed that when I attempt to record a video, it doesn't record audio with it anymore. I can still make phone calls but, it seems that only certain features are affected. What could be causing this problem and what should I do to fix it as I like my phone and want to keep it?

I've got a library full of documents. I would like to be able to know some more about these documents without reading through all of them. On the first page of each document I already put some relevant information about the document such as year of creation, author, number of pages and confidentiality.

I want to use some AI to browse through these documents and decide which is what and return it to me so I can store it in a CSV or something. This way I'll be able to easily find the right document.

Now, I did use LUIS and some of the TAA service of Azure's cognitive services before. But I cannot figure out a way how to accomplish this. Is it theoretically possible to send the first page (using a powershell script to cut the rest of the document

if a resident here send me a mail to use the app i will provide them with username and password.
so only if permitted you can login to the app.

what kind of database should is use.
and how to connect the database with the login for the app.

I posted in a previous thread that I wanted to play the three DC Extended Universe Android games (Man Of Steel, Batman V Superman, and Justice League VR) via Nox emulator (the only Android emulator I'm able to use with no issues). I've gotten both Man Of Steel and Batman V Superman to work on there, thus the only one left to deal with is Justice League VR.

I'm able to install and get into the game. The window is split into two screens (because VR), but I can put up with that. What I need to be able to do is virtually move the device around, because that's how you control the game. For example, after the game starts and you're at the batcomputer, it says on the top left of the monitor to "Gaze To Login", then you tilt the phone/tablet until the dot in the center of the screen is within the orange login icon (I also tried this game on my real android phone. That's how I know what to do here.).

Nox normally lets you assign touchscreen/device actions to keyboard keys, but for some weird reason, it won't let me do that for this game. And nothing I do with my mouse seems to accomplish anything. I'd really like to get the game to work so I can complete the game series, so if any of you can help me with this I'd greatly appreciate it...

I am searching for an app etc. which can delete the photos in the camera folder preferable at a given time once a day. (It's a remote camera setup to take one snapshot a day synced with Google Photo)
I know there are several automation apps out there which can probably do this, but I would prefer something more simpler, reliable and dedicated setup.

I didn't watch any of the USFL games last year. I saw their commercial the other night... for real football I guess it kicks off April 15th. I have no idea what rules they play by. I gather there are eight teams with two divisions. Depending on when they palay I might watch a game or two. Before watching my thought is why to wannabe leagues. Combine XFL and USFL and play it their season at the end of basketball and the beginning of baseball.

I have a new to me galaxy tab active 2 which I have been busy setting up to meet my needs.
I am not as savvy as i should be and sometimes i get my setting correct by chance and then mess them up which i have now done.
At 1st when i would receive a fb messenger notification it would show up on an home screen looking like a chat head of the person but a hair smaller and keep in mind chat heads were turned off,
So if i clicked on that chat head a small window would open showing the message thread with that person which had the option to open it full screen close it or leave it small, I liked this but some way I messed it up it's gone now anyone know what it was and how to get it back? and no, this was different to the chat heads toggle feature in messeger settings.

Hello. URGENT. I have a new Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and I can't get Whatsapp to transfer my chats from the old phone: Samsung Galaxy S20fe. I've tried everything.

I've tried backing up the old phone, and it doesn't do a complete backup: only 828MB when it should be about 1.4GB. I then install Whatsapp on the new phone, obtain the six digit code from the old phone, enter my phone number, then password.

After that, Whatsapp opens, but with only 32MB of chats from the past few days, not my (incomplete) backed up database. Also, after I enter my phone number and six digit code, Whatsapp goes straight to the list of chats. My phone doesn't show the additional screens: the option for Whatsapp to access contacts and media; and also, Backup found and option to restore it from Google Drive.

I spent two hours with a nice, knowledgeable guy in the T-Mobile store yesterday. He couldn't solve the problem. I have to return the old phone within the next two days or I lose my $800 credit on the new phone. Help! Thank you.

Need some advice :
So, every summer I set up my inflatable hot tub on my outdoor patio, which has no electric outlets. I have a GFCI outlet on the front wall of the house, which I run a long 75 ft outdoor extension cord along the side of the house, around to the hot tub.
Always works well, never trips the breaker.
I had an electrician come out to quote me a price to install an outlet on the patio, $450....
Im thinking to just using the extension cord.
Thoughts?

price wise, is wireless charging a high end and costly feature to have? I am looking for a simple tablet for my living room that will serve as a display of music tracks. I was wondering if i can get one at an affordable price with wireless charging built in

4. Specifics of the problem - downloading photos from Adobe's Lightroom Mobile Cloud super slow, ONLY ON THIS DEVICE.

My internet speed is about 50 Mbps, tested on multiple devices, including this Galaxy Note 8 phone. I'm experiencing slow downloads to local storage (SD with 250GB free space) from Adobe's Cloud in Lightroom Mobile app. I've had the same issue when downloading photos from Dropbox to this phone. All other apps work fine, for example Kindle downloads or streaming videos, no issue.
On my Note 8, it takes over 8 minutes to download 50 photos (Lightroom's "smart previews" with longest edge 2550 pixels). The same exact 50 photos took less than 25 seconds on my Galaxy Tab a7 lite & on Bluestacks.
I've tested the Note 8 using ethernet & USB-C dongle & Wi-Fi, same results. I don't have good cellular access in this location, so have not tried mobile data.
I've posted on Adobe's forum and on a Lightroom forum and no one has a solution, so thought I'd ask here.

There's a nice app[ called "PLT Hub" which is on my A51, and it is no longer available in the Play Store. Using Syncios Transfer, have backed up all apps from the A51 to my Mac. BUT the apps convert from a name to folder listings with a bizarre code, similar to hex.

Using Android File Transfer, there's no folder called Applications.

I know that one can download "apk" from websites, but that doesn't always work

I know it make not operate if transferred, but how does one transfer a single App from one phone to another?

Why doesn't Google apps not automatically updating

I'm having an issue with my S21 (android 13).

I am using an app that gives redeemable points for the kilometers I drive with the phone faced down (FaceItDown - By Toyota).
In my old phone S8+ I had no issues, but with my S21 it frequently reports extremely low distance traveled.
I did a test using both phones on a a drive, the S8+ says 53Km, the S21 says 3Km!

I tried contacting the developer, bu go no response.

I am assuming it is a power saving measure, but have not been able to pin it down.
So far I have tried
- Switching off Power saving
- Turning off Limit apps and Home Screen
- Turning off adaptive battery
- Including FaceItDown in never sleeping apps


Any suggestions would be welcome.

I have timed the app and it seems to behave okay for durations less than 15 minutes.
