Galaxy A03 Draw overlay not allowed

I have a Galaxy A03 core. I want to use Macrodroid to to launch an app when power is connected and kill the app when power is disconnected and also turn the screen on or off. Unfortunately, Macodroid requires draw overlay to do this and the A03 core does not allow it - it says it's not allowed because it will slow down the phone. Slowing down the phone would not be an issue for me as the phone is only going to ever run this one app ( Realdash ). I was wondering if there was a custom ROM that would allow me to turn on draw overlay so that I can use this phone for my project. The phone is currently rooted running a rooted Samsung stock android 11. Any advice would be appreciated.

Root HOW TO ROOT SAMSUNG GALAXY S23 ULTRA WITH MAGISK

samsung_galaxy_s23_ultra_rooted_by_lebigmac_www.systemrw.com.jpg

BRAND NEW DIY TUTORIAL BY LEBIGMAC ! How to ROOT your boot.img with Magisk (for Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra & more)
NOTE: For Android 13. Your bootloader needs to be unlocked for this procedure to work!

1) Download your device's firmware from the internet (check your firmware version in 'About phone' > 'Software version')
Extract and unlz4 boot.img and init_boot.img files from your official stock firmware
unlz4 boot.img.lz4 boot.img
repeat this step for the other file as well
I have attached my original S23 Ultra boot files for your convenience ;)

2) Install the latest official Magisk on your phone. The one I included for your convenience is deprecated already and doesn't work properly! To make it kind of work you can go into Magisk settings and set toasts to 'none' and the prompt to 'grant'
Code:
adb install Magisk-v25.2.apk

3) Patch both boot.img and init_boot.img inside Magisk app (click 'install' > 'select and patch file')

4) Rename both files to boot.img and init_boot.img respectively (the larger file should be your boot.img)
Code:
adb shell "cd /sdcard/Download/; mv magisk_patched_*.img boot.img"
adb shell "cd /sdcard/Download/; mv magisk_patched_*.img init_boot.img"

5) Tar both files with this command:
Code:
adb shell "cd /sdcard/Download/; tar cvf boot_patched.tar boot.img init_boot.img"

6) Pull the patched tar file from your device to your computer
Code:
adb pull /sdcard/Download/boot_patched.tar

7) Reboot phone into Download mode:
Code:
adb reboot download

8) Execute Odin as administrator in Windows and select your new boot_patched.tar in the AP slot

9) Flash it

10) Enjoy your rooted device :D

Can't format 128GB SD card as Internal Storage on 128GB Galaxy Note 9

Inserted a new unformatted micro SD card into the 128GB Galaxy Note 9. Went to storage-SD card, and was only given the option to format the card which made it removable or Portable Storage. Looked on Internet and see instructions saying go up to top right 3 dots to select the format. No such option in my Note 9. Removed SD card and inserted into Windows PC and was able to format and access the SD card. It is not bad. (Class 10 v30 I U3). Replaced it in the Note 9 and got same results as before. It is recognized as Portable Storage.

How do I make it Internal Storage?

Custom Multiline vs scrolling text on lock screen

Android 11 on Moto G power (2021)

I want to list custom info on my lock screen, like 'if found call (my wifes number) plus 5 lines of allergies.

I know how to go to display->advanced->lock screen->add text on lock screen, and I have entered the info.

It works, but shows as a single scrolling line rather then a multi line.

The scrolling line is so slow, the screen dims out and goes away before the entire line is displayed.

While I would be OK with the machine doing an automatic word wrap, I'd rather like to add my own line breaks. Put each allergy on a separate line.

Thanks, Mark

Help Rooting a Pixel 7?

A week or so ago, I purchased a Samsung S23 Ultra as a replacement for my Pixel 3XL. Prior to buying the phone, I reviewed a number of on-line guides about rooting said phone; but when it arrived, I was unable to make any of those procedures work. I posted here and learned that the new Samsung phones cannot be rooted.

My next plan is to get a Pixel 7Pro and root it. I have seen some on-line guides about rooting that phone, but given the experience I just had with the Samsung phone, let me simply ask this: Can the Pixel 7Pro be rooted?

Location sharing

Hope this is the right place. I'm trying to create location sharing between 2 android phones ((mine and child) and an iphone (wife). All 3 should see the location of the other 2 and all 3 should send/receive location alerts. I'm failing miserably.
I've tried location sharing in Life360, Google Maps, and MS Family safety. In all 3, my phone never shows movement. I always appear at hone on the other two devices. The other two devices are inconsistent - sometimes showing correct location, sometimes location is off by a mile, sometimes showing at home regardless of actual location. None send/receive notifications even when one of us enters a location alert area. Best I can tell, all 3 apps were/are set up correctly.
Are there a generic Location Sharing settings for android? That's the only commonality I can see.

  • Question Question
Where are the contacts actually stored on my Android phone ?

I have a Samsung Galaxy A50
It runs Android 11
I also run the Google Contacts app version 4.2.24.508113282
Everything works fine.

I'm trying to understand where physically, the contacts that I create, are stored on the phone.
And woul appreciate a little education.

Scenario one:
Let's say that I create a new contact.
Across the top of the screen, there is a "Save to" value that contains my GMail address by default.
I fill in all of the appropriate information.
I tap on "Save".
Syncing works just fine in that in a moment or two if I go to "contacts.google.com", I can see my newly created contact.
Question:
If I could, where would I look on my phone to find the newly created contact ?

Scenario two:

Let's say that I create a new contact.
Across the top of the screen, there is a "Save to" value that contains my GMail address by default.
I fill in all of the appropriate information.
But this time before I tap on "Save", I tap on my email address in the "Save to" field of the UI.
I get a drop down menu that shows my GMail address as well as "Device".
I choose "Device".
Of note, right below the Device selection the following is displayed. "vnd.sec.contact.phone".
Finally, I tap on "Save".
Where can I find THIS newly created contact on my phone ?
I searched for "vnd.sec.contact.phone" on my phone, but have not been able to find anything with that name.
By the way, this newly created "Device" contact does NOT get synced to contacts.google.com even though I have turned on "Also sync device contacts".
Why would THAT be ?

teclast t40 pro add new gestures

I got a tablet teclast t40 pro and I would like to add new gestures like two tap to turn on the screen. But this device came with few default gestures.

I went to settings > system > gestures

Code:
<a href="https://ibb.co/dMcDkM1"><img src="https://i.ibb.co/dMcDkM1/16777099770195297215322027111055.jpg" alt="16777099770195297215322027111055" border="0" /></a>

Is there a way to add more gestures options?

Horseshoes... Yes Horseshoes

I always considered myself a fair horseshoe pitcher. I always gravitated to the horseshoe game at picknicks and parties. The game seemed fun enough and I was as good or better than most I played with or against. (perhaps I was more sober) Years ago a friend came by and said he passed by a park in town and there were a bunch of horseshoe pitchers playing. We both grabbed our shoes and drove up there to kick some butt. We were immediately in awe of the level of competition we were witnessing. We had stumbled upon the Kansas State Horseshoe Tournament and the A class was currently pitching. I saw horseshoes pitched like I had never imagined. They weren't playing to 21 points but to 40 and a competitor only scored when his opponent happened to only throw one ringer instead of two. I had never witnessed such skill with each player throwing more ringers in a game than I had thrown in my life. Often they would pitch down and then back a number of times before someone missed throwing two ringers.

I had to get involved. I joined the two local horseshoe clubs (one club hosted tournaments and the other leagues) I practiced every chance I could in an attempt to be as good as I had witnessed that day at the park. I even put in an official horseshoe court in my back yard and installed lighting so I could pitch at night. I was all in. Being a doer and not a watcher, I was soon an officer of both clubs. It was rewarding but also demanding. It consumed all of my time taking care of the park's courts (24), running the leagues, organizing tournaments, and trying to keep everyone happy... participants as well as club members. I even talked the city of Wichita into having a novice based tournament as an official event of their annual River Festival Celebration which I hosted for 18 consecutive years. That tournament would see near 300 "back yard" pitchers each year.

Burn out, yep, I suffered major burn out. Though it was fun I got used up. I never improved my game to the A class level. The best year I pitched, I averaged 45% ringers. It wasn't the last year I pitched. I finally walked away from the sport and the obligations. I tried pitching again last summer but between the time of absence and the time now on my body I quickly became frustrated and put my shoes up.

I hope that I haven't bored you with this narrative. Horseshoes is a wonderful game that can be enjoyed at any skill level. It is a relatively cheap sport to play and is accommodating to all ages and sex. Much like bowling, leagues are handicapped so everyone has a chance to win. Tournaments are classed in groups of similar ringer percentage so the competition is comparable . And there is always that picknick or party where horseshoes is something to play for bragging rights or perhaps a beer.
Don't laugh off horseshoes. If you haven't played, give it a try.

Story how I've released app and nothing happened

Hi folks!

Pretty much the title... :) I've made another attempt to develop & release Android app because I'm curious if it's still possible to hit the jackpot and get piece of cake from the market. I can tell this is tough, as Google Play Store is flooded with apps and it's difficult to get organic downloads. What's your experience guys? Is there some trick that works for you to get more traffic?

Long story short, app helps to:
Photos Map, the app that allows you to see on a map where you've taken your photos! App will help you to geotag photos, group photos by country or place, create albums, view and edit EXIF metadata and many more. With Photos Map, you can access and manage your photos from local and cloud storages.

I've made sure that I deliver quality app and focused first to give value to the users. I've also created landing page, to build trust with users. My business model is simple: app offers 2-week trial period with all its features for free, as I don't want to put ads into the app. After trial period ends, user must purchase full version in order to continue using the app.

I would be grateful if you could give me some advise and honest feedback about the app.

Rooting my Samsung 23 Ultra???

Rooting a new phone shouldn't be difficult and I did root my Pixel 3XL years ago. I found this guide, How to Root Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra via Magisk [New Method], and it makes sense. However, my issue is with Step 1 - unlocking the bootloader. I followed the instructions shown, but 'OEM unlocking' was not visible. I did some more looking and found this guide How to fix the missing OEM unlock in developer options on Samsung devices - KrispiTech, tried Method 2, and that didn't work.

What on earth should I try now?

Airplane mode reminder

My issue is that I will turn on airplane mode to play a game uninterrupted and then if something happens I'll forget to turn off airplane mode until I try to use the internet.. possibly a day or more later. Does anyone know of an app that will remind me every configurable minutes while in airplane mode that I am in airplane mode? Or something that will let me put the phone in airplane mode for a configurable amount of time and then automatically turn off would work also.

Weird activity with Samsung keyboard phone

Okay so I have several old Android phones in a drawer full of old electronics cell phone junk.
One of them is a Samsung Captivate Glide. I haven't used it in years. Since like 2015.
However, last night I was looking to use an old phone just for its camera. I plugged in the Capitivate Glide and charged it about 4 hours.
Then I realized what I had forgotten- years ago, this phone's display screen had shorted out. The phone is still operational, but you can't use the screen or see anything, its just blacked out.
So the phone is essentially useless. Bummer.
Okay here's where it gets weird.
I put the phone away, in its old box and put it back in the drawer yesterday.
About 1:00 am tonight, I heard what sounded like carillon bells. Familiar, carillon bells. But coming from where?
I hunted around, and discovered that the SAMSUNG PHONE WAS PLAYING, inside the box, inside the drawer. At top volume. A YouTube video, of carillon bells.
Now, several days before, I had downloaded a recording of carillon bells to my desktop PC off YouTube. But this video was on my PC.
Why would that recording, be playing on the old Samsung phone, all by itself? Inside the box, in the closed drawer?
Again, I can't access the screen or anything, and haven't loaded anything on it for years.
I'm completely baffled by this.
I plugged the phone in to the Desktop via USB, for the first time ever----- AFTER it was playing the bells.
I can still access the files on the phone.
But I didn't find any video or music files on it that had been loaded since 2015.
Has anyone heard of anything like this before? Its extremely creepy.
