I Can't Turn It Off! Please Help!

The other day i got a message on a update. saying that the app that is being updated might be malware. it was link to windows. I stupidly installed it. It then came up saying that there is malware on the phone. so after looking into this i carried out the apps - show system apps - then going into device security deleting the cache and data and then rerunning the device care. yeah it now shows like the app is not malware but there is two apps. One is just Link to windows and the other is link to windows service. i have tried to uninstall them both but it wont let me . i try to stop the service but at some point it starts back up. Even tho the device scanner says that there is no malware, my phone has not worked right since. apps crash every time now. can hardly do anything on it. can anyone please help. thanks you

or blocking ads only works for standalone ad blocked browsers?

On my Galaxy 10+, I have an app (Panels) which is a side drawer app. Even though I use it multiple times daily, after a couple of weeks the phone kills it. I have to go back to the app icon and start it up again and then it lasts for another couple of weeks. I have checked all of the settings for battery optimization and everything looks ok. Can anyone help? thanks in advance.

I'm using a Bluetooth keyboard connected to a Samsung Galaxy Tab 6 Lite while in multi-window mode, which works great. I have an eBook about Python open in one window, and a console open in another window, to type in examples from the book and run them. But one small annoyance is that I often forget to tap on the console window before typing. Is there a keyboard shortcut for people using Bluetooth keyboards to switch between windows, so I don't have to take my hands off the keyboard?

I am getting text that is underlined as I type into web forums such as this. It does not post as underlined, it is just some annoying "feature" on the user's end. This is driving me crazy, as when this happens and I am at the end of a word and want to hit return to go to the next line, well, it won't, unless I hit the spacebar to put a space in after the word. This happens across two different browsers. I did a Google search and responses tell you to turn off your spellcheck, etc. Well, as a rule, I turn this crap off immediately in my chosen keyboard. I even checked my basic Android settings and see nothing like this enabled. So, aside from some of this correction crap being enabled by mistake and that I can't find it, this is not part of why it is happening.

Any ideas?

I can see there are a lot sold on Amazon by third party sellers. However, there is no one sold by Amazon. Is there any other more reliable sites to buy from?

Is this do-able with out unlock.bin??

I've tried using adb/fastboot. ADB reports the device OK; fastboot can't see the device.

I've tried all manner of drivers to load........ I know there are separate drivers for adb and fastboot.

This is driving me nuts.

Finally, are there different SUB-variants of the 996?? One generic and one US Sprint??

P.S. Yeah I know this is a VERY old phone. But it still does everything I need/want. I just bought a replacement for one that "went South" the other day. Sadly LG no longer supports providing an unlock.bin.

And I suspect there are probably not many LG fans on here.

This may apply to all Android phones, pretty basic question. I have a dual band router with 2.4 and 5g speeds. Can someone explain what criteria the phone uses to switch automatically? For example, I set the phone to a 5g wifi band and later find it has switched to 2.4. What causes this? I do have some wifi plugs that can only operate at 2.4- is this implicated? Or does it look for the strongest signal? If that's the case I am practically sitting on top of the router but sometimes it reverts to an extender some distance away from the phone. Please explain. Most important question: Is there anyway to "lock" the band to keep it at 5g until I manually change it? Help much appreciated! Phone is Moto G Power (2021)

Hi all! I created another board game. It is somewhat similar to the mechanics of the game Truth or Dare, but a little different.

The rules of the game are very simple. The facilitator reads the card. For example, I have never seen the northern lights. Those players who saw, carry out the punishment.

My desktop PC is put in a very small room, recently, I find that there is strange smell probably coming from the PC, it's like burnt charcoal, besides this, there is no other sign, and my PC still works perfectly. The PSU should be decent because it's by Antec.
I took it to a nearby small computer shop for check up but he wasn't able to figure out what the problem was.

However, the smell is really obvious. It has persisted for a week already, I cannot find any other sign. I am quite pretty sure that the smell comes from the desktop.

Is there any underlying problem that we have overlooked?

I want to once emphasize that the computer still works perfectly.

Could it be the PSU failing but not has not failed totally?

I have Shareit set to connect my Android to my PC. Sends from PC to Android work mostly. But files that say they succeed when I send from my android to my PC have never appeared on the PC, even with a full search of the entire PC, let alone in the folder I set to store received files.

moto g power 2021. owned the phone for a short time. initially i had the battery percentage displayed in the status bar, then it suddenly went away. if i go to settings-battery-battery percentage-show battery percentage in status bar, it still is missing. oddly enough, it does show when i swipe down on the status bar. i have always liked to see the percentage when the screen is displayed. any ideas what i can try? TIA

When I'm at home near my computer, after calling somebody, the signal always drops.

Recently I've noticed that when I go outside away from home, sometimes the signal drops while I'm talking to someone.

What could be causing the signal to drop after I've connected to the person I'm calling? What can be done to fix this?

Edit: When I say my signal drops, I mean the other person can't hear me, but I can hear them. So maybe I shouldn't say signal dropping.

i had a moto z play (purchased in 2017) with android 8. youtubeTV ran flawlessly on this phone. decided it was time for a newer phone. went with a 2021 moto g power, android 11. transferred everything from the old phone. no new apps installed since the transfer. youtubeTV now has a "choppy/stuttery" play. video play is fine on youtube and tubi, just not on youtubeTV. i have tried restarting my phone, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and everything else i could find on the interwebs to try, with no success. this occurs with any wifi connection i use (primarily home and work). i pulled out my old phone to try the app to make sure it wasnt a bad wifi signal at my home, and the app still works great. any help would be appreciated. at this point i am considering going back to my old phone if i cant get this issue resolved. any suggestions would be welcomed. When I first got my Galaxy A71, the recent apps button showed a vertical stacked overlapping list of my recent open apps. This was great. For some reason, this display was replaced by a horizontal slide list that only shows 1 open app at a time. How to go back to the vertical stacked overlapping list of open apps?

Can a custom launcher do this?
