I went to Copy an updated Word doc from my pc to my usb flash drive where there was an older version with less pages.

I stupidly clicked on the file name in the window with the flash drive and dragged it to the desktop window and clicked Replace.

I suppose there's no way to recover my longer Desktop doc with several more pages, now it's been "overwritten ' by the older copy on the flash drive.

Stupid question I guess; but I happen to catch a few You Tube Shorts / Tik Tok with some tricks unknown to me.

This only happened 5 minutes ago.

How do I get rid of this thing? I guess it keeps trying to connect, which I don't want. I don't even know what it is. In fact, what I really want is to pin the screen, just the camera, for now. Eventually I would probably want to unpin it. How do I do that? I have looked through settings with no luck. It's Android 12.

About a few hours ago, I was not able to change my LWP settings to a screen shot, so I did that a screen shot, it seems odd to have it crashed a few times with wallpapers and settings though, I just put it on safe mode on my moto edge plus.. Still I am also frustrated that nova launcher does not apply icons over that original icon settings, I wish for a launcher that has both the applied icon and able to change the name of each app, just for the top in the spell, I kind of wonder if there is a launcher that does both..

I think the trouble is presetting ADW on my mobile data, it seems really sucky for a second bit though, I am still somewhat frustrated this problem did even occur throughout when changing wallpapers to a point of where, I just went back with my OG launcher and was able to change the wallpaper that way. So I onwder if there is a launcher that handles both Nova settings and ADW...

When I take a screenshot, its thumbnail and a little editing menu next to it stay on-screen for a LONG time. I've looked, unsuccessfully, for a settings option to adjust this behavior. I want to take a screenshot and then have its thumbnail IMMEDIATELY go away! As it is now, I can swipe it away, or I can wait an eternity for it to disappear on its own, but I don't like either. Is there such a setting?

Trying to make my own live wallpaper and it keeps auto thinning out the wallpaper I apply.

What are the exact dimensions of the main screen wallpaper?

Does anyone recognize the circle with the arrow pointing to it? I've been getting that for years whenever I'm on a call and change screens.

When I tap on it, it opens with choices to return to call, pause call & end call. Lately, for no apparent reason, I get the circle when I first start my phone, but after a minute or so, when I make or answer a call I only get a green oval with a call timer.

I can't remember where that caller button on the top screenshot comes from.
It might come from a phone widget called Mad Cap 4, but there are no settings that correspond to the circle.

Not sure if a Google issue or IOS. My partner adds an event to her iPhone calendar and shares it with me which I see on my iPad. That event will then sync with my Google calendar that is installed on my iPad. However, the event does not show up on my Google calendar on my Pixel 7. For it to show up on my Pixel, I have open the event in Google calendar on the iPad and press 'Copy To' my Google calendar. It seems like unnecessary steps. I wonder why my Google calender on the iPad is not syncing with Android?

I bought a new battery for my Poco X3 Pro yesterday (After market battery) because my old one was very bloated. When I charged this battery it indicated that it was at 58%. When I woke up (5-6 hours later) it was at 64%. I tried draining the battery thinking it was just a glitch and using it and now it is at 1% and won't charge.

I 'm tired of continually correcting the "auto-corrected mistakes" in text messages. It's more of a bother than a help. How do I turn it off?

There isn't an "auto-correct" option that I can find in Settings.

I have a very annoying problem with my device that appears about once a month and usually lasts about two days. It's hard to describe but it's like without my touching anything it goes to the top of the page in all the apps or automatically updates the feed or goes to another section of the app. I hope there is a solution because it is too annoying.

I cant find an answer to this question no matter how much i search. From what I found online, the only rooting methods that exist are Magisk, SuperSU and rooting apps(correct me if im wrong). The info that I read said that SuperSU and rooting apps don't work anymore and Magisk is the only rooting method that is used and that works today. Is that true? I know that the rooting apps are dead and there is no way they would work. Does the same apply for SuperSU? Would trying to root modern android versions like 11,12 and 13 with SuperSU work?
SO Is Magisk the only rooting method today for android 11, android 12 and android 13? or are there other methods? Can you root a modern android phone, specifically Samsung with another method other than magisk? Basically my main question are there more rooting methods other than Magisk, SuperSU and rooting apps? If there are, what are they and do they work on modern android versions?

I saw AutoLocation has an indicator for driving and tested a very simple launch waze when driving detected but does not work.

I knwo folks have long used BT and that connection but it does not help me as I travel for a living and rent cars alot.

I need to setup remote desktop on Android mobile as follow;

1) Samsung Galaxy S9+ phone(phone-1) as camera, mounted at the end of an extension rod.
Software running - Teamviewer Quickconnect App

2) Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra phone(phone-2) as "remote controller", mounted at the handle of the extension rod
Software running - Teamviewer Remote Control

It works. phone-1 can be remotely controlled on phone-2 to capture video seamlessly.

The only problem is;
phone-2 can't be mounted horizontally. It can only be mounted vertically.

If phone-2 is mounted horizontally, the video on its screen is inverted. The picture is upside down.

Please advise how to fixed the problem. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I'm new here so bear with me.
I have a Samsung galaxy note pro 12.2 lte and I'm trying to flash a custom rom (lineage os android 11) to it. I have installed twrp for the device and downloaded the rom. The problem I have is that when I try to flash the rom using twrp it fails on error 255. It gets to the point where it doesn't seem to recognise the device. It's says the software is for a note pro 12.2 sm-905 viennalte but the device shows as a full stop.what is a "viennalte" as opposed to just an lte?

Using Watchmaker on my Samsung S22 Ultra and have the companion app installed on my Samsumg watch 5 pro. I opted for the premium version if that makes any difference. I can send a watch face to the watch and it shows up under My Watches in the watch app but I can never get it to show up on the actual watch.
I've tried selecting Watch 4 and Watch 4 classic which I think should work but still no luck.
Any suggestions on what I can try?

When i have gboard set to floating and i have physical keyboard attached the bottom shadow of the keyboard is still being rendered even when on screen keyboard is hidden.


Is threre a way to fix that or a version of the keyboard that doesn't do that?

Hello, my phone model is Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro and it's 2 months old. For the last few days my battery has been draining really fast. In less than 24 hours it went from 100 % to 60 %, without me using the phone much. The day before the same happened. In 12 hours it went from 60 % to 40 %. What I also noticed was a lot of mobile data usage for the current month, more than double of my normal usage for a month.

I have a stock S9 on T-Mobile and use Google Messages and/or Samsung Messages (the built-in app.)

I travel internationally and recently started receiving "gentle" reminders from T-Mobile that "roaming benefits are not intended for extended use abroad." You know, "Sprint + T-Mobile, better together", blah blah blah.

I am usually on wifi so I disabled roaming expecting hardly any consequences. And had no issues except I discovered that I am unable to download MMS messages (photos or texts in groups) UNLESS I enable roaming again.

This is happening with both Google Messages and Samsung Messages apps.

Is there some setting or configuration that I am missing or is it that wifi is not enough and mobile data/roaming is required?

My concern, of course, is that T-Mobile will press the issue if this scenario continues.

I've created an app for real work which automatically turns on Bluetooth on startup. I installed it to 3 devices via USB and it works perfectly normal. When I tried to upload it to Amazon app store, it was denied explaining that app exits to main screen on the launch. They sent me even a video of that. I don't know what to do anymore. I'd like to get some advices. Thanks.
