i recently bought a moto g power second hand that was factory reset i have tried to bypass and i can get all the way to where i have to turn on install apps from unknown sources but that option is greyed out does any one know a way around that or how i can fix it to proceed in unlocking my new phone please

I find that by making copies with copy and paste, the new copy will have its creation date updated to the current time, while modification date is preserved. Is it possible to keep the creation date (and other dates if I am not aware of) preserved as well?

I was recently forced to update my phone after two years, which has resulted in several issues. One is a new "feature" that turns every photo into a motion photo with a ginormous file size, and I can't figure out how to disable this. Does anyone know?

I got my Pixel 3a in January 2020 and I'm not certain if the battery is wearing out or if I have simply been taxing it lately with things I am doing on the phone. I was just travelling and using Google maps directions as GPS and kept attaching a power pack to the phone because the charge seemed to run out rapidly doing that task, among others.

I don't use it as a phone very much, the main activities are streaming audio, social media. The use, other than the spoken-aloud GPS directions this week, hasn't changed much in the 2 yrs 5 mos since I bought it, but I do know I never had to check my battery's charge level in the past and I never got battery level warnings until pretty recently.

I had a bad experience in the past with a cell phone repair shop killing my Android when I had them do a battery replacement and I feel I would need to buy a new phone if this battery's going, don't wish to waste time trying to replace it. I don't want to replace the phone for any other reason, it suits my needs.

picked up an s22 ultra to replace my s10.

this is the first time in a long time that i can remember either getting a new phone, or doing a factory reset on my phone that the apps and other data havent synced as soon as i sign into my google account. afaik, as i was going through setup, i selected anything that would indicate i would like to do so. installing my new apps are one thing, but having to ask everywhere and everyone i go what their wifi password is... thats dreadful.

is there anything i can do to force it to restore? in settings>accounts and backup, i can backup and restore from samsung cloud... but under google drive there is only backup available. on my s10, its showing my latest google one backup was 8 hours ago.

I purchased a Pixel 6 late last year, and with the exception of poor fingerprint scanning, it was working fine. However, since then the fingerprint scanning has deteriorated significantly, and in addition the phone now randomly reboots or freezes. Initially the random rebooting happened only in the Camera app, but now it happens during Google maps and drive apps, CNN app, Duolingo app, etc. The random reboots have increased to five each day. I tried all the troubleshooting tips and it did not make any difference.
I contacted Google Support and they said that a factory reset has to be done to resolve this issue. I am very hesitant to do a factory reset because it is a very time consuming process to re-customize the phone after the reset, and there is no certainty that it will resolve the issue. My first purchase was a Pixel 6 pro, and it had many glitches, and even after factory reset the glitches remained, so I returned it and bought the lower-priced Pixel 6. So the factory reset itself is a shot in the dark.

Can someone please help me with trouble shooting that does NOT involve a factory reset? It is very time consuming for me to re-customize the phone after reset, and I can't do it every time the Pixel 6 develops glitches with each software update. If I have to do a reset for each glitch, I will never truly be able to enjoy using the phone.

I saw usage of that keys to change coordinates of 4 corners of screen for keystone correction in projectors but I need correction for cylindrical surfaces. I've had my Pixel 2 XL for 4 years and it's the best phone I ever had, except not having a headphone jack or Miracast. My work phone is a Samsung, so I make up for it. It may be time for an upgrade though. I've thought of 4a because the Google Photos is still unlimited, and it has a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Or should I go for something newer? I want to retrieve the ARFCN (Channel Frequency Number) while the device is connected to a 5G network, which can be of 2 certain types (SA and NSA). The type (NSA) I have problems with (and it is the type which most of the actual 5G networks fall into) uses a 4G LTE network cell as a primary cell.

I use the method PhoneStateListener.onCellInfoChanged(List<CellInfo> cellInfo) to retrieve all the cells available (connected or not) to my device, and although my phone displays clearly the 5G indicator (and I get the 5G signal my device is receiving through PhoneStateListener.onSignalStrengthsChanged(SignalStrength signalStrength)) none of them is an instance of CellInfoNr, thus resulting impossible for me to get the ARFCN which is only available through a get method in the CellInfo class.

During idle my phone suddenly got very hot, even more than regular gaming. It has happened twice, but this time I have the chance to check the app usage.

It turned out Bixby Voice got ahold of the phone radio and WIFI for over 2 hours, with the process called dexopt.

The phone lost 35% of battery in about 30 minutes or so. The first time it happened, I restarted the phone several times but it would just resume the mysterious activity. Eventually, I turned off the phone for an hour and it's gone. This time I did the same thing, turned off the phone at 65% battery power and recharge it back. After power up, the drain was no more.

The question: what is dexopt and what was it doing?

ok everytime i think i got this sorry phone figured out i get a new issue. so now for some reason i have a notice that says alert notifications new voicemail dial *65 . so i went to the voicemail set up and it tells me the service provider is voice mail and the voicemail number is *65 and it was *86 but to see if i could remove that notice i changed it to *65. and in the notifications box it has vibrate off.

so how do i turn off that notice outside of resetting the phone. i did not set up any voice mail and when i go to the keypad and tap *65 and then the phone icon that keypad and nothing else

if i tap that notice it goes to the keypad then fast to a voice mail page with the phone the message and camera icons and then goes away,

so is there a you tube that shows how to get rid of this? i deleted the cashe the data and it is still there. i do not remember setting up a voicemail so i have no clue why it says the carrier is voice mail. or do I have to set voice mail up. if how do i do that on metro pcs?

I recently updated Android system webview to fix a problem I had with a particular website. Well, it fixed it all right. I might never be able to use it again. Somehow it messed up the browser I was using, Lightning, or something did. I tried getting an old copy of Lightning to replace it, but I couldn't install it. I ended up saving all my bookmarks to Telegram and getting rid of Lightning, then reinstalling it from Fdroid. It still didn't work. I have installed two other browsers which "keep stopping" or really never opening. I can't fix webview either. Additionally, I have shut off wifi and No Root Firewall and restarted them, still with no luck. I even rebooted the phone. When I try to use the bookmarks I saved to Telegram, I can't use them because I would have to go through one of those three defective browsers.
