I have a Pixel 4A. I like to be able to copy text from a webpage and put it in a note or voice reader. Hasn't been a problem in the past. But suddenly in both the Chrome browser and the Samsung Internet browser I installed, when I select the text, either by frame handles or "Select All", all the Copy functions disappear and I just have the selected text but no way to do anything with it. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Samsun Browser, rebooting, clearing GBoard and Browser specific storage and cache, etc, but can't seem to get this functionality back. Is there a setting I am missing or any other ideas on how to get this working again in the browsers?

I have an unknown random tri tone (iphone) notification (just sound) coming on my oneplus 7 pro and i cant find whats causing it, i searched online alot for a solution but cant find any. I tried uninstalling many recent apps and used antivirus scans and ccleaner but they find nothing. Reminders is off. The notification also doesnt show up in notification history or in notification history app.

Was put up the screen record all the way up to max, so every time I photograph something or just use my cell, it appears in the upper right hand corner that is a green light to shrink it down, is there a way how to get it off a moto edge plus folks?

Hi everyone!

I've got an issue concerning the use of a Dutch app that reminds me on the presence of speedtraps.
This app is called 'FlitsNav'.
I'm using it for the last 9 years on my Samsung Galaxy A5 (on Android 8).
App settings were configured to let it start en close on the Bluetooth connection.
As soon as a speedtrap pops up, the A5 internal speaker produced it's selected sound and the screen show what's going on.

Now comes the puzzle:
Since 5 days I've got a new phone, a Samsung A52S (on Android 11).
With exactly the same app settings I'm not able to let the app warn with sound, only by screen.
As soon as I cancel the Bluetooth connection, the app functions in all it's glory.

My temporary thought is that the app functions correctly on my new phone, and that the audiorouting is probably halted somewhere.

The app settings (Audiorouting) lets me choose from four flavors:
- automatic
- Bluetooth A2DP
- Internal speaker
- Bluetooth HFP
(I selected 'Internal speaker')

So I try to figure out how on earth the Bluetooth connection is able to block any sound from the app to the speaker.
Would anybody of you like to join me in this and assist me with this annoying puzzle?

I've been using sqlite forever. Finally decided to update my app to room database. Converting it was a treat but afterwards I realized I may have lost a functionality that the DBHelper allowed me to do.

I am currently getting LiveData<List<type>> return from the Dao of my main table. Getting that through a Repository and a ViewModel which holds the LiveData along with an observer. In the database helper I had a routine after iterating the cursor that created a List<object>. The regular rows + header objects mixed in with them. i could then check for type in the Recyclerview adapter and either create a header or a row.

In the Dao I have several @Query lines but not sure how to use the Query to return the same result. I could get the List<type> from the viewmodel observer and work a little mojo on it finally passing it into an object list and use that for the Recyclerview adapter. The livedata would keep the feed up to date. Is there a better way?

I’m not an Android user, but son is and thinking of getting a Pixel 6. Currently there is a 20% off so here in Uk it’s around £500 new.

I’ve been reading up a bit and (I know most phones do), the Pixel 6 seems to have a few problems. Have these been sorted now with updates?

Specifically the fingerprint reader, is this sorted now, it’s one of the main runs in my opinion that you have to get right.

Looking at the 6 vs 6 Pro, I don’t think there is much difference apart from the extra camera and little bigger screen, so for the £200 extra think I’d stick with the 6.

He likes Samsung as well, but the S22 series are quite expensive, and he currently has a 6.7” screen think so I’d have to go for the + or ultra which are really expensive, reason I’m looking at 6.

So as of today (when is 7 released btw, I know the 6a potentially coming to would that be better?), is the 6 a solid phone, everything work well.

I've bought Huawei for the last 10 years or so and this will be my last. Opted for the 20 as their last Android. I have found it very very buggy. Firstly I noticed screen locks up after continuous use, which seems to happen less frequently now. I am migrating Whatsapp to a new phone with Android 11 from an old phone with Android 8.

Followed steps outlined here:

- Online backup is messed up
- Didn't backup app's data folder in root/Android/media

Tried restoring from local chat backup in Databases by renaming desired backup to msgstore.db.ctypt14 and it didn't work.

Also what is "chatsettingsbackup.db.crypt14" file in Backup folder?

I'm on April update.

I've used my Samsung S20 FE 5G with bluetooth headphones for about 6 months with no issues. In the past few weeks, after about 4-10 minutes of listening to a podcast using my Bluetooth phones, the Bluetooth disconnects. I have reset Bluetooth and this happens with each of my two Bluetooth headsets. When I listen with plug-in headphones, no problem occurs.

I've turned off and back on, the phone's Bluetooth. I've upaired and them paired two different Bluetooth headphones and am still getting the same result.

I have a feeling that the cause is the latest Android 12 update. Is this a known issue? Any work-arounds yet?

I recently inserted a SanDisk 32gb sd card into my phone and told it to format as internal memory. When it gave me the option of migrating files now or later I chose now but nothing would happen. I clicked the button and nothing happened. I went to my file manager and it showed internal storage and sd card and both were listed as about 12.5 gb out of 17. I clicked on the sd card and everything on there was a copy of the internal storage. I went to the storage option in my phone's settings and it showed 25 gb out of 64. I went to install a few games and then it said I had ran out of storage space but there should be plenty if the sd card is actually being used as internal storage. What is going on?

I'm having issues with my Samsung Galaxy A10: I cannot record calls, and I've been trying to enable this feature for the last 2 whole days.

I have downloaded about a dozen different call recording apps from the Play Store, trying each and every Audio Source, Channel, Loudness level, and Audio Format but there's always the same problem. No sound, whatsoever.

I've read somewhere on Reddit that I have to enable Accessibility (or Full control), which I did, but nothing has changed. There's still the same silence.

Is there a way to fix this? I used to have an HTC phone (I think it was ONE X) many years ago. I managed to fix this issue by rooting the phone and tweeting some files with a root file explorer (can't remember the files nor the app).

The last app I tried informed me that it cannot record calls with Android 10 and up. This makes sense since I was able to record calls when I first got the phone and before I started applying system updates.

Should I downgrade to the original version, Android 9?

I've been using this expense/budget app for years. I noticed I was getting back-up errors re drop box, which I don't usually use, so I went poking around to see what was going on. It wouldn't back up to Google Drive or Drop Box, so I went to Play Store to get an email address to contact the developer (as suggested by the Google error note).

It's gone. Not listed on the Play Store and not even included in "installed apps" on my phone.

My only clue is languages listed are English & Russian. Is it possible Play Store took it down because of a Russian based developer? I know that sounds really "out there", but it's not been that long ago it updated. Why would it just disappear? I've searched to see if there's any mention of it being removed, but can't find anything. There are still active links to it on Play Store, but they return a "not found"-type page. Anyone know anything?

Just pulled the trigger and got a spanking new Google Pixel 6 pro.
Really happy with the way it responds, the camera, and the speed which is faster and more seamless than my old trusty LG V30.
I need some guidance though.

1: I need three fast charging chargers, two for AC outlets and one for my car, and three fast charging cables to go with them. What do you guys recommend? I al, told they have to be at least 25W

2: I want to make "Alarm Clock Extreme" my default clock app, but see no options in the default apps window to do so. Ideas? Like when I tell my phone "Hey google. Set an alarm for 4 minutes" for it to set my alarm using the app of my choice.

3: Some of the text in the draw-down top activity window, is cut off my the text beneath it.
Things like "Activate new Keyboard" and "Alarm set", are cut off by the descriptions beneath them.

in Chrome some of then fonts are really tiny and while I can blow them up, I'd like a larger default font size and in this phone I can't seem to find it.

I have this thing with digital clocks / watches. I often catch these numbers on a clock or watch out of association. 1:23, 2:34, 3:45, and 4:56. I also catch these numbers, 1:11, 2:22, 3:33, etc. These number catch my attention, 3:10, 3:11, 3:16, 4:15, 4:20, 5:00, 7:07, 7:27, 7:47, 7:57, 9:09, 9:11, and 10:04. 4:10, 11:27, and 11:44 are addresses where I have lived. I also have a whole list of birth dates and anniversary dates that I see very often. I don't dare run my devices in 24 hour mode. Am I the only weirdo that can't help from associating things with the time on a digital clock?
