Samsung S10, Bixby button - set to take screenshots.

I used to have a routine that would take a screenshot of a screen, without prompting and/or showing the results.
Just a short notification that the screenshot was taken. This worked fine for a lllong time.
Regretfully Samsung decided to update Bixby so the routine doesn't work anymore.
At least .. not properly.
There is some blue spinning circle and I can't close it without some error message.

I -might- link to the Bixby button to some screenshot taking app.
However, when pushing the Bixby button the app will be opened and I should go from there.
That isn't really what I had in mind: I should be able to take screenshots one after the other without any interruptions.
So, the way before Samsung updated Bixby.

Q: does anybody out there know an app that could link to the Bixby button and that will silently take screenshots upon pushing that button?
(I vainly searched for it)

I want to root my Moto Edge 20 Pro 2021 (XT2153-1 pstar) since Motorola has ended regular updates for the device. How do I root my device though? I believe I need a custom recovery to install Magisk, and I don't really know or trust any web results so far. TWRP is the only custom recovery I know of, but they never developed one for this model.

I've had my Google Pixel 7, running Android 13, since November 2022.

In the last few days, I can't make phone calls because it says Mobile network not available. If I go to Settings, Network & Internet, it shows no SIMs (Add a network). If I restart my phone, no luck. If I turn off my phone for a few hours, it gets back to a SIM of Verizon for a few hours, before this starts again.

Furthermore, even if I'm on WiFi, I can't make or receive calls. Making my phone quite useless.

Hope someone can help. This is too early for a phone to stop working. And I loved by old Google Pixel 2XL.

I've accumulated soooo many "devices" over the years.

Many of the devices I'll probably never sell, purely out of nostalgia (T-Mobile G1, Motorola XOOM, Google Glass, Palm Pre etc...), but others I'm needlessly holding onto for no reason (unused chromebooks, tablets, phones, 360 cameras, OG HTC Vive, etc...).

Where's the best place to sell used electronics these days? I'm planning to list some items across a few different platforms -- assuming eBay and Facebook Marketplace are the defacto standards these days -- but curious how people like/dislike other marketplaces these days? I remember Swappa caught steam for a bit but pretty sure that died out.

I've also got a zillion cables and cords, but assume unless they're rare and in high demand -- like an original NES power cable or something -- they're essentially useless. And don't get me started on the number of cheap still-in-the-package headphones that should have gone straight into the trashcan.

So let's hear it: what's your favorite place to sell used stuff?

After 70 years of near flawless health, I suffered a very sever heart attack that I was lucky to survive. I had total blockage of my left ventricle which required two stints to clear. I'm almost two months past my hospital release and I'm starting to feel a bit better. I'm required to wear a life vest / defibrillator vest in case I suffer another attack which would be fatal if not immediately addressed. I return to my specialist the sixth and then again the twelfth of Feb. to see how my heart might be recovering and if I can get out of this dang contraption. I have no idea where this journey will take me. I might need a pacemaker... or additional stints or bypasses.. I am clueless.
Whatever I'm up against, I'm ready. I am eating healthier and trying to exercise the best I can. I don't know how hard to work myself. I just returned from a walk around the block at as fast pace as possible which didn't seem to impact my heart or breathing. I think I'm finally improving.

I'm lucky in that besides my heart valves restricting flow, I am in great shape for an old man. I have zero extra weight, no diabetic problems, no breathing problem... etc. I had no indication that I had heart problems prior to the attack. I actually thought I had indigestion I was lucky.

I know that I'm not likely the only one to suffer a heart problem here on the forums. If you would care to share your journey, I would be very interested in listening.

This site leaked my personal information. This was discovered via a monitor app that scans the dark web(s).

I recently upgraded from an old Pixel to a Pixel 8 Pro. The process went smoothly but I've run into an issue. When I view the pictures on the phone by using the Photos app, I see all of the pictures that got migrated from my old phone as well as the pictures I've taken with the new phone.

However, when I have the phone connected to my PC (file transfer mode selected) and am trying to upload a photo to FB for example, I can see only the pictures I've taken with the new phone. The migrated pictures are nowhere to be found.

I didn't have this problem when I upgraded the last 2 times (either Pixel to Pixel or Nexus to Pixel) so I'm stumped as to how to fix this problem. Any ideas?

I have a galaxy tab s5e. I opened it today, and bluetooth was toggled off. The mouse was connected before, but won't connect now. My bluetooth keyboard is connected.

The mouse is also connected to my PC. I just had to change the receiver yesterday, and use the unifying software to pair the mouse. Works fine on my desktop. is the receiver change responsible part of the problem?

How do I stop displaying such "Early Bird Club" notifications as these, please?

The 58th Super Bowl between the San Francisco 49'ers and the Kansas City Chiefs will be played at Allegiant Field in Las Vegas Sunday February 11th 6:30 p.m. ET on CBS. It will be interesting to see where the odds end up two weeks from now. At present the 49'ers are favored by 1.5 points.
Big money will move that spread around to get the max money bet. 1.5 spread indicates they expect a close game. I hope it is a good game.

So, Happy 3rd Birthday to the Galaxy S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra.

I still have my trusty S21 Ultra and use it on a regular basis. Best of all Samsung are offering the S21 series four generations of One UI and Android OS upgrades and five years of security patches so another year of Android OS and two more for security updates to come. 😊

Hi, I am using Firefox beta version 123.0b3 (Build #2015999879 in Android 13
when I click address bar in Firefox the keyboard (gboard) pops up then disappears again.
This is a bit annoying, can't find anyone else with this issue. Any ideas please

I'm facing a critical issue with my Evo Intel laptop, and I'm reaching out to see if anyone has experienced or knows how to resolve the "0x0000009F Error: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL."

This error has been causing some serious disruptions, and I've been struggling to find a solution. If any of you have encountered this problem or have any insights on how to fix it, I would greatly appreciate your help.

I've tried a few basic troubleshooting steps, but none seem to have worked so far. Your expertise and suggestions could be incredibly valuable in getting my evo intel laptop back to normal.

This week I received a notification from Verizon that I can expect my phone bill to in crease by $4/mth. I have to admit that it's the first time in a long time that I have seen my rates going up, but with all of the other "junk" fees, I'm just wondering if it is really necessary. I'm also thinking that with that "payout" that Verizon has to pay because of their hidden junk fees (I think), that they are just trying to recoup some of the money that they have to pay out. Some forums have listed this payout as gospel while others have dispelled it as rumors. Even the media is saying that it is real, but either way, increasing the bills to cover a lawsuit just doesn't seem right if that is what they are doing.

I'm trying to download Telegram on this Moto G Play. I did manage to do that but it won't let me have an account. I guess I have to give it a phone number. Well I was able to give it my friend's phone number after I downloaded Telegram to his phone. Now I have an account on his phone which is better than nothing but I want it on my phone. I tried using that code that worked on his to put it on mine. It doesn't work. I tried to get them to send another code with no luck. Right now I have no phone number because it's WiFi only. I tried to get Talkatone but it turns out it runs on google. I have been trying to find something else. There was a text app that turned out to be google only. Then I found Dingtone which might work. It turns out they charge. I don't know why they have to make things this hard.

I'm trying to find a way to consistently get into RDX mode on Samsung devices. If anybody has any ideas please feel free to share them. Thank you so much!

Last night I started getting a problem with the "Finder" (built in app) on my Z Fold 4 Normally, when I would be on a Home Screen, I would swipe up, then my Apps (tray??) would show up with a search bar at the top for finding little used Apps. When I would key in something, the app or apps would show at the top. When I would make the keyboard disappear, I could swipe up to make all of the search suggestions disappear. Now, since last night, this stopped working. Everything remains no matter How I swipe up. It is really frustrating. I will try including a screen shot of the page when I can't swipe up.

So far, I have tried this:
1) Delete cache in Finder App
2) Delete data in Finder App
3) Change most of the settings in Finder App, then change them back to what they were.
4) Delete my Cache Partition.

Nothing got it working like it used to work. The only thing I have not really tried is looking for a broad phone setting that may not be part of the Finder app. Any idea how to fix it to get back what used to happen? Could something global with Android have changed to cause this?

I don't think there was any question as to whom the Chargers wanted to hire for their next head coach. I'm sure it was a matter of money and talking Jim into leaving his groomed college program at Michigan. I think it's a great hire for the franchise and I expect big things out of the Chargers in the future. No more finding a way to lose for the Chargers in future is my forecast.
