On previous ‘S’ models, I could set a different alert sound for email, sms, WhatsApp.
I have set sounds many times, but they all then default back to same tone.
Is there some unusual way to set the sounds on S9 or current OS.

Previously could just select sound from within each app.

Is it possibly linked to the ‘messages app’ handling things differently.

My Google Assistant stops activating when I say "OK Google" or "Hey Google".
I keep retraining it at least once a day. I've cleared cache and data several times and it keeps doing the same thing. It works for a out 12 hours then it stops recognizing "OK Google" or "Hey Google". This started happening about a week ago and it happens EVERY DAY!
I've had this phone for less than a year and Google Assistant had been working normally.
Latest Android update was on March 26. Update number is G986USQU1DUBB.
I'm on Verizon.
I would appreciate any suggestions, short of a factory reset.

- In developer options last update it gave us, a much needed more customization, whats up with that not being in the menu anymore, so we are stuck with the stock itself build within the moto app?

I have a BLU G60 that my friend gave me, but when I tried to reset it, it just keeps saying "please enter previous pin" and my friend doesn't know it anymore. I can't log into it and download mode doesn't work on this device for some reason. My other device is a desktop running x64 Kali linux. please help.

I have Location turned on on my phone but it's not showing GPS. It's only showing an address.

How do I get GPS coordinates in my photos?

Please don't ask why I did this.

I did a factory reset and then let the battery go down to the bottom.
Now I'm locked out by a low level password request. I know that it's not one that I ever set up.

It's got to be a hardware password because it's not getting even close to the Operating System.

Hello. I recently updated my system from Android 7 to Android 10. It was like some two months ago. Still, I had only minor updates till now, won't I get an update to android 11?

I have a new Redmi Note 9 and haven’t changed any settings.
The camera doesn’t focus well for mid-range photos. Areas of the image are blurry. I need the camera to be on a setting that will be enable general good focus on the whole picture.

I will sometimes get "ding" sound alerts to look at my LG K92 5G's screen and when I do there is nothing there when I take a look at the notification screen. Sometimes I get 2 dings within a second or two making it even more annoying.

This is not exclusive to this phone. I had this happening on my Stylo 6 as well.

Both are running Android 10.

If I hear a ding, I want it to be for a legitimate alert that just happened.

I suspect it to be application related but I am not sure.

So I go to sleep playing my favorite podcast. I try to make sure that I select podcasts that are several hours long because.....

the next video that plays will be outside of my subscription.

I go to sleep listening to philosophy for example and wake up hearing about mudslides or often weird topics that end up creeping into my dreams and ruining the calm philosophical podcasts that I'd much rather creep into my subconscious.

No, I don't want to listen to white noise either.

Any way to keep on to my subscribed channel for autoplay?

I've had several smartphones so far, but the A51 5G UW is my first Samsung. One thing I do not like right away is the size of the status icons on the top of the screen(signal strength, battery percentage, etc.); they are very tiny. I have found out about the screen zoom setting, but I set it all the way up and it did not change the size of these icons; in fact, it seems to have done nothing. Does anyone know of a way to increase the size of these icons, or of a good app that will help?

Sorry cannot find the right forum since it does not deal with any known brand of TV. I'm in China and the TV is Chinese with no name to speak of. I managed to install some apps on it but can't seem to install a video player. I tried VLC and KM player. both seem to succeed in going through the process (accept this and that) and the bar shows it's installing but at the end it says, "Did not install". Does anyone have any indications as to why? or how to go around this problem? ( BTW I have no stick or other gadget on my TV nor intend to get one.)
P.S. One reason I want to install a Media player is to be able to control hues, contrast etc of my movies (not tv or streaming movies) since my TV seems to only have default auto settings which are just about useless.

My question: is there any way to activate a mode that's more like the Galaxy S5's blocking mode? I.e. one that is more of a true do not disturb? My problem: even when DND is on, the ringer (albeit silent) still comes up (accept/decline) even when it's not an accepted exception (contacts). The S5's blocking mode didn't do that. There was nothing other than a notification of a missed call if the caller's not on the accepted list. If the caller's not on the allowed list, I don't want the phone app popping up.

I turned off pause while there's a phone call in poweramp, which solves the immediate problem, and I sabotaged the ringer by blocking pop-up notifications, but that makes it hard to answer the few wanted calls.

If I can solve both this and the intermittent phone mic muted while the dongle's in and making a call program, then most of my Note 20 Ultra problems will be solved.

I want to back up all of the data in my apps. From searching, people say I need root to do this. However, I am on version 2.3.4 with Software number 4.08.605.19 710RD with s-on. According to the thread https://androidforums.com/threads/h...wngrade-and-achieve-s-off-with-htcdev.531353/
downgrading with the HTCdev method will wipe all the data. So this is not an option for me. Is there any other method available for rooting which DOES NOT wipe the data?

I know there is a way to stop that from happening, but yet even then after I had turned that off, I will see it on again with my Moto G6. Anyone else had that issue?

If been seeing this heart notification on my boyfriend's phone lately and I'm curious about what it is or what app its from.

I came from a Galaxy S4 where you could create a folder, select people from your address book, up to 10 at a time name that folder whatever you wanted to and text to that group in the folder whatever your needed to. Now that I have the A51 I can't figure out how to do that. Can anyone help me please.
