In my Tab S6, the line in Download mode stating KG Status Prenormal was totally disappeared after I completed the Android initial setup; while I had different experience with my Tab S7: The line KG Status PRENORMAL has changed to KG Status CHECKING and remained Checking even after I've fully completed the Android initial setup including updating all emergency and optional apps (except system and security updates).

I don't know if this KG Status remains CHECKING is a problem e.g. an indication of unfinished process. Should I suppose (like my Tab S6) this line get totally removed from Download mode? If so, what I have to do more to complete with KG status.

EDIT: I have followed same process with my Tab S6 and S7; like Tab S7 I haven't updated system and security updates for Tab S6.

I am trying to do something that I thought would work, but doesn't. So my question is why. This is how it goes:

An app I have used got an update I didn't like. However, I noticed that it still had not been updated on another device. So I tried to be clever by saving that version of the app by using Apk extractor and moving the .apk to the other device (after uninstalling the application that had the update, of course). But for some reason this does not work. The installation starts and I give it the required permissions, but its ends with the notice "was not installed". Why?

So I am developing an app as part of a group project. The app has to fetch some data (most importantly time for an alarm) from Cloud Firestore and then ring the alarm at whatever time the alarm is scheduled. This all should happen even if the app is not open right now. I know that I have to use:
1. AlarmManager or WorkManager (still I am not sure which one) for background work like changing the time for alarms and firing the alarm intents
2. Something called PendingIntent (maybe) to set the Alarm intents
3. ACTION_SET_ALARM for actually firing the alarm.

Now what I don't know is how do I combine all these in a manner so that I can implement my idea for the app. I cannot find a single example anywhere where all these things are used together. I would be very grateful if someone could help me.

Hello, I'm hoping someone here can assist me. I've had a Honor 6X phone for a few years. I had a few issues with it so I sent it in for repair. In the meantime I used a spare iphone that I had. Well, I finally got my 6x back up and running but now I'm getting an error saying it's no longer compatible with the cricket network. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if there's any way around it.

The other day, I had put my phone off to the side (on my bed, where I'm using a laptop), and put it face-down. A little while later, I started hearing this noise that I couldn't place. I figured one of the cats was doing something where I couldn't see them, and ignored it. It didn't sound like a distress thing, like coughing or vomiting. I guessed they were playing with a toy or something on the floor.

A few minutes later my phone started making this notification sound I've never heard before. It went on and on and on....and kept getting louder.

I picked it up to see WTF, and you know what it said? "You've entered your PIN incorrectly 50 times" (or something like that), and to try again after X minutes.

I know Joy Noelle is somehow involved! She probably walked on it, which woke it up and triggered asking for my PIN, then got it stuck in an endless loop of something pushing on the screen, entering my PIN, but not really...

I'm just glad it didn't wipe my phone!

Hi all. I got a Samsung s10 for its dual sim capability. I need to have sim 1 (personal) on 24 hours but I need to schedule sim 2 (work) off at night. I looked at automateit but couldn't find it there. Any help appreciated.

This tablet has an out dated android firmware and I was wondering if anyone could direct me to updating so I can install other products on it (Google Maps). Forgot it also does not have support from manufacturer.

I think my friend may be an intended victim. There was a call about somebody trying to make a fraudulent purchase for hundreds of dollars. The caller asked about her first name and then "automatically" knew her last name. I think this was somebody from India. I was there and advised hanging up because it seemed suspicious to me. What do you think?

Im wanting to make an Android Application in Kotlin using Information Extraction, what it is supposed to do is, it's supposed to extract text from a picture lets say a menu of a restaurant and once scanned, it's supposed to read it out aloud. Can anyone tell me where I can find a video or a tutorial walk-through of something similar or close to that? I already have Android Studio Set up and also did a basic course on Kotlin, still not quite sure where to start. Any pointers or help would be appreciated

Just need a little reassurance I think. My phone runs Android 10 and I have been looking at power consumption (by going settings>Battery>Power consumption details>software) lately and wondering if these things are normal. Sometimes it reads 'no apps using battery'..is this normal? Its usually between 2am-7am. Secondly for the last few days it has showed that on and off throughout the days Google Duo has been using the most battery? I have never used Duo in my life, but I know that apps can use battery power behind the scenes, but surely not that much?

Hope someone can help.

So some apps such as WhatsApp, Snapchat, Messenger, Play Store and Instagram are not working because it's saying there's no internet connection. However, I can still google stuff or browse the web, heck, I'm making this post with the issue present. I can watch tiktok, browse reddit, basically use any aspect of my phone where data is needed except those specific apps.

This happens with 4G and WIFI. Only way I have figured to fix this is restarting my phone, but I can't keep doing that every 10 minutes.

I have tried soft reset and resetting my network settings - nothing help.

It's not always all apps that don't work. Sometimes it's combination of any 2 of them, sometimes just 1.

To add, sometimes (very rarely) at the top of my screen both wifi and 4g icons show up?

Is there any way at all this can be fixed?

As I already mentioned in the headline, this is an interactive text adventure story app, so you can make your own choices to alter the course of the story.
I’ve orientated myself on certain other text adventure games and specifically added a lot of graphics and illustration, because that’s what I’m always missing when reading good text adventure story games and I believe it pulls the reader even deeper into the story and makes the characters more realistic.

Short overview of the story:
The story is about five girls, who discover supernatural abilities like a special bond to one of the four elements. Laurel, the protagonist, also is repeatingly dreaming about a certain boy, but every time she encounters him in the dreamworld, his face looks unfocused. One day, a shady figure appears in her dreams as well, watching her from the shadows and threatening her. Laurel also encounters four other girls in the real world, who seem to have supernatural abilities just like her, though some of her friends seem closer to the darkness than Laurel might have thought at first gaze. The following days, the five girls meet up regularly and eventually find the way to a hidden school that teaches magic. But not all is as well as it seems. Laurel keeps getting into bad accidents and someday, one of her friends suddenly disappears without a trace. Is this related to the creepy shadows, that lurk around the school? Are they somehow connected to the mysterious school director? The shadows are coming… Can you keep your friends safe from them?

The whole book is parted into six parts and I’ve just released the first part and I’m already working on the second part now. A second book is planned as well.
