I have the Google Pixel 3a and have rarely had problems with it. My biggest contention is, of course, texting non-Android users. I was able to get around the SMS breaking into separate texts by long pressing the send button and typing a space into the subject bar that popped up. However, a few nights ago my phone updated and now when you long press, it only offers you to schedule a text. Anyone know another way on Android 11 to not make texts break up after 140 characters? Thanks!

Hi there guys. ive joined this forum hoping someone can help me. Im not too bad with android boxes considering I'm not a tech geek but i got an m8 android box off ebay, it displays fine and works but i cant get fileinked, downloader, kodi and any of my movie apps, ive tried everything i can think of. If anyone knows what the problem is your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have this tablet, which ran pretty well, for storing pictures and music, and then it stopped responding to touch. It responds to touch in recovery mode, but not in tablet mode. I can use it in tablet mode if I attach a mouse, but I"d really like to get the screen working. From what I've read, this suggests a screen driver problem, but getting any software for this old puppy is nearly impossible.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hi, in my Android 10, I felt like changing the app icon shapes, so I turned on developer mode and went on to the "Icon shape" settings. But there was no "circle" option, just Squircle, default, rounded rectangle and square. i am asking this because I've seen other Android 10 devices with circle icons like this:

The google search bar is on top, and apps below. Can't I make it like this?

The thing is, when I press and hold and drag the Google search bar widget to the bottom, only the top layer of apps move to give space, the very bottom layer of apps are still. Can't I do that on Android version 10? home screen layout isn't locked

Hi y'all, I'm new here to the forums so excuse me if this isn't the right format.

I'm just experiencing a problem with my FM radio feature. I recently discovered that my phone has an FM radio capability, so installed the NextRadio app from Google Play. It worked excellently and flawlessly until the most recent update for the device. What's going on here?

Galaxy S10. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and have restarted the device twice. Any help would be great, I miss listening to the radio so much on my walks.

Update: Unfortunately, upon reinstalling the app, I just now noticed that I get a message saying the app doesn't have access to the FM chip. Someone in their app reviews on Google Play seems to say this is due to the one UI 3.0 update. I hope there will be a fix possible at some point. Anyone please let me know if you have ideas. - Thank you! ♡

Hello Fellow "Androiders". Now at the risk of getting abused, I just want some software that completely backs up my S9 phone to Computer. I just want to plug in via USB cord and shazam... a full back up takes place. Of course it would be best to be an incremental backup (only back up un backed up stuff since last backup). Happy to pay but struggling to sort through all of the rubbish I get when using Dr Google. Also please be a little kind because I most certainly am not a young person...at all. Thanks in Advance

I'm hot and cold on the Ultra. I've had a couple of issues and have been trying to figure them out for a month.

The first issue is with the blue tooth low energy. To be quite frank, it sucks with the Ultra. My hearing aids connect to my phone though BLE which allows receiving notifications, calls, and to stream tunes. I can live without streaming tunes. If I'm listening to music I far prefer streaming to my Bose which uses regular BT which works fine. However, I need to receive my notifications and I HAVE to hear a phone conversations. At first I thought it was range which is limited being low energy. It's not proximity.. it's just hit and miss. I don't have a clue how it's supposed to talk to the SmartTag across the room when it can't communicate with my aids when I'm holding the phone to my face. My ex Note 10+ could easily talk to my aids when pocketed.. or across the room for that matter. Ultra... no sir. I'll hear a phone conversation in one ear and then it is in the other ear and then I don't hear at all then through both ears and on and on. It's a real bummer!

The second issue is the screen touch sensitivity... or at least I thought that was the problem. The sensitivity and time of tap is all massageable in the settings and I played with those settings for nearly a month. Trying this and then that but nothing worked for me. I could tap an icon a dozen times without a response. Sometimes it was one tap access. I couldn't figure it out for the longest time. It's my big thumb. I have used the same thumb on every smart phone since the Eris without this problem. I've decided that my thumb is covering too much screen space and the phone thinks it's not a tap. If I use the tip of my thumb or a finger everything opens and swipes as you expect. Not the pad of my thumb however. Crazy right? I'll adapt but it will sure take some time.

Now for the hot... The phone is super fast and smooth. The display is brilliant. The battery is simply amazing. Photos.. OMG... love the pics. I took a picture of the last full moon that was crazy good for a single pic. The fingerprint scanner rarely fails to get a positive read on the first try. The speakers have an amazing quality for a phone. It's a great phone!

I have no problem recommending the Ultra for someone wanting a phone that's on the leading edge. It's all of that and more. If you wear hearing aids... NOPE

I have started downloading my entire collection from gog games for my pc and unfortunately right from 1st download I have encountered a problem.
The 2 dlcs for game Northgard correctly (i believe or I am supposing it appears correctly) downloaded as exe files but the game itself downloaded as an SH file. There's a bit more to this and that I could have sworn it started as an Exe file on commencing download. On looking at their offline (for) downloader as they call it, it shows on my pc now in their site as an SH download. I sent in an email and they replied with just one of their paste the faq answers (does this answer it type things or get further in touch) which is just a pure paste from them and mentions that files are exe files and should they be large files sometimes they make them bin files. I have replied that it doesn't actually explain why my system shows I downloaded an SH file from their site. And please, yes I know what an SH file is, that doesn't need saying(I looked it up). Their faq paste which they sent doesn't make mention of SH files. I have replied with please can you answer why my system shows the download as an SH file as I had mentioned and should it?
Well here's why I contacted you. (Oh I started the download same day of buying Northgard, almost immediately after, give or take an hour or so at max.) Anyway I sent them 2 attachments in that reply to their reply. One shows the area of the download page from chrome browser(and it doesn't show file extensions) thus I was forced to also include a file manager screenshot as a 2nd attachment which shows the download as an SH file for the game itself and the two dlcs showing as exe files. My version of chrome is 88.0.4324.181, copyrighted 2021 Google Inc. My question is can anyone recommend a safe or trusted browser that shows file extensions in the browser's downloads page? (That's so I can in future provide proof in a more failsafe, unholed manner.)
Edit Addition: Note please I tried fingerpressing to try and get the full file name with extension to come up(for a screenshot but that didn't show it) and also looked in settings so am wondering if there's a recommended and safe browser which has considered this and shows file extensions, 1st preference would be straight on page itself without any need for opening outs or if not then shown after opening out as 2nd preference.
