Google Messenger

I am having problems with a J2 smart phone, when using google message app the auto spell and alternative word suggestion does not wait to be selected but will make the change immediately.

Any attempt to reverse/cancel this results in other changes and deletions being made automatically in message and is beyond control and results in the message being unusable, any suggestions please.

Help Backup game data when cloud save unavailable.

Hello! So, I have a game installed from Google Play, Phigros, on my Sumsung Galaxy J6 phone, that doesn't support cloud save 'yet'. The problem is that now I have a new phone coming up tomorrow and it's planned that I'll exchange my old phone immediately to get the new one. Hence, I'm finding ways to somehow backup all my game data (on my PC) since the data isn't readily accessible from the file system either.
I've tried ADB but I ran into a weird problem with it. I could make the backup for the game data, (of 5.21MB size), but when I restore it in another device with the same game installed (from GPlay), it auto deletes the .obb file and changes storage permissions of the game to "Deny", thus rendering the game unplayable, it freezes at loading screen. If I somehow reinsert the .obb file then, it starts a new game and doesn't show any of my saved scores, hence I'm assuming it just removes the restored data.
I don't know what else to do. If there's any way to backup this game, it'd be really helpful...

Can't write to SD card

Hi! I just bought this SD card online and after around 2 days a notification that says "Can't write to SD card" appeared. Because of that I can't delete or move files into the SD card. I tried formatting the SD card hoping that it would be fine but the notification still appears afterwards. I unmounted my SD card for a month and thought that it should rest and I inserted it just yesterday. I thought it would be fine now but the notification still appears. What do I do? I don't want my money to be wasted just like that. btw, its a San Disk SD Card with 64 gb capacity and my phone is Samsung Galaxy A10s. pleasee helppp!

Update 13 min after: I turned off my phone, unmounted the SD card, and inserted it again. As I turned on my phone the SD card now "not inserted" on my files. I looked up to my settings and found that SD card is "corrupted" what do I do with this?

Galaxy Tab 10.1 GT-P7510 cannot activate Recovery or Download modes

Hi all.

I have a Galaxy Tab 10.1 (2011, WIFI, Model: GT-P7510) which I can only turn on, operate the basics, and turn off.

However, nothing at all happens if I hold the Power and Volume Down buttons (download) nor if I hold the Power button and Volume Up (recovery) buttons.

I think someone in the household where the tablet resided tried to update it and screwed it up. For this reason I didn't want to risk it before but now I myself would like to update it to the latest ROM.

But first things first, I need your help in getting back to Download and Recovery modes.

Thanks in advance

Chinese phone not compatible with Play store apps.

I have just bought an Xgody phone running Android 9. I was very pleased with it until I realised that I could not install some apps from Google Play store. Microsoft Office would not install but I found that Polaris office would.
Then, strangely when I tried to get the Santander mobile banking app I found that I could download Polish and Brazilian versions of it but NOT the UK version.
Any body got any idea what's going on and if there is a possible solution to this?

New Android Game

Hi. I am an indie developer that developed "The Second Light" a new game for android platforms. I have started the pre-registration process and it would help tremendously if you guys pre-register. All the help is much appreciated. Thank you!

https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...TheSecondLight

The Second Light is a hybrid game. It contains RPG elements, action game elements, story-oriented, and it is built as a platformer. Thank you for taking your time to review the game and this post.

External Memory Alternatives

In older versions of Android, I used External Memory as an intermediary in transferring app-specific files from one device to another when the user changes devices. That method no longer works in Android 29 and above, and Scoped Storage has been suggested as an alternative. Is that really the best way to accomplish what I want? Would some form of cloud storage be better for that? I really don't need External Memory except for this one purpose of moving app-specific internal files from one device to another - for the same app. If Scoped Storage really is the best solution, where can I find a good detailed example of an implementation that does this?

Cases Mous Limitless 3.0 case

Hi,

Having never bought a phone outright before, much less a brand new model at launch, I wanted to invest in a decent case for my new S21 and did the usual round of review checking on various sites and ended up going for a Mous Limitless 3.0 mainly because of the claimed impact protection.

I've had to wait a couple of weeks to receive it but it turned up today so I open the box up and tucked underneath the case is a business card sized piece of paper warning me that the case is magnetic and I should not get it within 10cm of a pacemaker !!!

Fortunately I don't have a pacemaker and I know we live in blame culture so they're probably covering themselves etc etc BUT it's made me think, should I really be wrapping my expensive new phone in a magnetic case ? I actually had no idea it was magnetic when I ordered it and have no interest in magnetically attaching it to a mount point in the car or home.

Looking on the Mous website I find this...

"The effect of magnets on phones raises a lot of questions. You may have seen articles about how magnetism can interfere with GPS, the compass, and battery life. After all, internal magnets are present within the latest devices. This poses the question: do magnets affect smartphones? The simple answer is that a large enough & powerful enough magnet could. But, it is highly unlikely that your average household magnet would have an adverse effect, and the magnets in Mous phone cases are not powerful enough to cause any substantial interference. That is why a number of leading Mous products utilise magnetic force without causing any problem to your smartphone. In the slight chance that the magnets do cause interference with your phone, you can simply recalibrate your device by moving it in a figure of 8 with your arm and continue using as normal."

They're at pains to point out that the magnets shouldn't affect the phone's performance but there is a slight chance it might.

Anyone have any thoughts on this, anyone own one and experienced any problems ?

Many thanks for your time.
