I received the Ultra late in the day and wasn't going to do anything but give it a full charge and set it up tomorrow. Naturally I couldn't wait and set it up tonight. Smart switch went flawlessly and in no time I was customizing the phone to my liking. I'm sure I'll tweak it some but tonight I'm done. The fingerprint scanner is amazing compared to the Note 10+ I'm accustomed to. The screen is brilliant. It seems a bit less responsive to my touch than the note... or different. The phone is very fast and smooth. Definitely more so than the Note. I only took a couple of pictures but they were stellar and vibrant. I can't wait to take some pictures outside of my office. Over all I consider the upgrade is considerable for me and I'm glad I took the leap.

Is there a way to prevent the screen from ever turning off when the screen is locked? I'm trying to find a way to stay on top of my schedule for work. I found a junk tracfone that I set up right in front of my workspace that it's only purpose is to keep me on task during the day. My work prohibits me from disabling locking the phone. But, when I get my alerts, they all show up on the notification lock screen. I would like the lock screen to never dim.

Hi, grateful for any advice to retrieve my files from lost.dir folder, most of these are photos with the odd MP4. I've tried many things but none are working. Even tried ES file explorer and renaming extension to .jpg but no luck. I've heard of software such as EaseUS but not sure on success or review of such data recovery softwares.

This happened whilst transferring files from phone memory to micro SD card.

So for about a year and a half to two years now I have noticed photos & videos disappearing at random and being replaced by a gray box with an exclamation point. This is happening on my phone (Galasy S8+) and my Tab S4. There is no rhyme or reason to it and the internet is of no help.

At first I thought maybe it was a problem with the devices (maybe software since it is happening on both). So I bought a microSD card for my tablet and immediately transferred anything I wanted to keep onto that. It seemed to work fine for about a year. But, as of a week ago I noticed they are now doing that on the microSD card too. How can I stop this data loss and is there any way to recover the lost data? Why is this happening!? If I love pictures of the kids I won't be able to replace them. Please help!

I use the power toggles widget on my Samsung S10e. The app hasn't been updated since 2015. It still works, but with every Android update it seems to loose something. I know I can use the quick settings menu, but I like having the widget on my home screen for volume, brightness, bluetooth, wifi, flashlight.
Any recommendations on a updated widget?

I am working on an AccessibilityService that takes input from game controllers (PS5 controller, Xbox Controller, etc.), I am using OnKeyEvent() for handling button presses and releases ,however I am having a lot of trouble figuring out how to receive input from the Joysticks.

Generally I would use OnGenericMotionEvent() to handle MotionEvents from the joysticks, but since this is an AccessibilityService and not an Activity, it doesn't seem to have that method.

The MotionEvents I want to handle are as follows: AXIS_X, AXIS_Y, AXIS_Y, AXIS_RZ, AXIS_RY, AXIS_RX, AXIS_HAT_X, AXIS_HAT_Y, AXIS_LTRIGGER, AXIS_RTRIGGER, AXIS_BRAKE, AXIS_GAS

Does anyone here know how I could handle MotionEvents from an AccessibilityService? I've looked at the official docs and codelabs a lot but this has me stumped.

My treasure is a Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) SM-T580 according to the "About Tablet", so this forum is the closest to the gadget I have..

This just suddenly started happening. No app works properly. Some open but cannot do more than that. Most of them open and attempt to function then suddenly shut. A message appears "xxxApp has stopped," with an offer to "Send feedback" Google tries to send feedback, but a message appears "Market Feedback Agent has stopped."
I uninstalled 6 or 7 apps to make more room, as My Files reports Internal Storage of 14.11 GB / 16.00 GB available. There is no SD card. The tablet is dated 2016, and Android updated itself a week or so ago.

Any suggestions from the group wisdom in this forum would be greatly appreciated.
