[APP][THEME] Japes icon pack (+wallpapers)

Hello everyone! I want to share with you my icon pack "Japes": a set of colorful HD icons with different shapes. It also includes original wallpapers. I hope you like it! ;)
★ You can get Japes icon pack from Google Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=suitcase.icons.japes

Japes comes with 2100+ HD icons (as of January 2021) and new ones are added with every update.
★ From the dedicated app you have the possibility to request via e-mail icons for your apps that don't have a corresponding Japes icon yet: I'll add them as soon as possible!
★ In the meanwhile, have a look at the "Popular" category in the icon browser/picker: you'll be able to find icons specifically designed to suit various kinds of apps.

Thank you! :)

Hello

Would like to say Hello. I am a developer (server and PC) mostly C++ some IOS but after some medial issues and a few years away looking forward to getting back in to software development.

I do have a few questions though.

What would be a good solid development platform to develop the same app for android, IOS and Windows?

I know everyone has there own specific smartphone manufacture they use and live buy and the manufactures have there own version of android but I was thinking is there a base Android OS that works with all phone manufacturers?

Any links and suggestions would rock thanks in advance.

Help "Files in this directory are very important Please do not delete!" wtf?

This is weird, right?

  • These files are normal and critical to Android's operation.

  • These files are malicious and should be removed immediately.

  • I have no freakin' clue. Sorry, I wish I could help.

  • I don't give a damn about you or your stupid files. Don't you know there's a pandemic going on?

  • "...but the calls were coming from inside the house!"

While searching "My Files" on my Galaxy S8+, I came across a strange hidden folder.

The hidden folder is called ".privacy_safe" and it contains an empty file named "Files in this directory are very important Please do not delete!" as well as 2 sub-folders:
  • - "Videos" : contains randomly-named files without extensions.
VLC wouldn't play them (even after add extensions mp4 or avi),
  • - "db" : contains a single file called "privacy_safe.db".
I tried SQLite3 but it says it's not a valid database file.

My Google searches turned up nothing about any of this.

This is weird, right?

It seems to me that any reputable app developer wouldn't need to maintain integrity of critical files by leaving polite notes within a hidden folder, pleading with the end-user not to delete them... (along with the Video folder which doesn't contain videos).

Any idea what this stuff is and/or what will happen if I delete it?

Help Change the way an alarm is dismissed

Up until yesterday, when the clock alarm "dismiss" button appears from a locked screen, a simple tap on the button stopped the alarm, the same as it would if the device was unlocked and the "dismiss" link that appears at the top of the screen was dispatched with a single tap.

Now, I must press on the button and maintain the pressure as I swipe up to get task done. Some times it takes multiple attempts to be successful.

I had a system update yesterday, and I didn't experience the change until after the update, so perhaps it is connected to that?

Tap & Flap Bird [Latest Version 1.4]

Enjoy more than previous version playing Tap & Flap Bird on your Android device.

With different bird's characters, different environments, cool sounds, and intensive gameplay, it's the best classic 'Flappy Bird' alternative in my opinion.

If you love to play a simple game without compromising with intensity of the gameplay, Tap & Flap Bird is the one you must try. You'll love it! Ideal for every ages of users.

Favorites Tray - auto add app?

IMG_20201024_091518.png
My wife and I both have the Pixel 4a with the most recent updates. This morning my wife started noticing that everytime she opened an app it pops up in the favorites Tray to the far left and stays there until she opens another app. Then that one takes over the spot. She has tried to move it and it just adds that same app to her home screen. It also has a glow around it. Anyone know how to bypass this? Thankfully mine isn't doing it.

Help LEDs are on but not responding to force restart

Hello, here's the full story of my s7 edge in the last two days:

Yesterday, I was watching a movie and my phone was with 2%, blinking red. I let it until i finished the movie and it turned off, from the low batery. But the red light was still blinking. I connected it to the charger but no response. I even tried another charger and nothing. I then waited half an hour for the red LED to turn off, meaning drained battery. Connected it to the charger and no signal. Let it charging during the night...

In the morning, the screen had a big green 100% and the LED was green! Gr8. Tried to turn it on aaand stuck in Galaxy Logo. After trying several key combos, it entered recovery mode (passing through a blue "updating software" screen; but it was not doing any update last night). There, the infos said it could not find some path... But the menu recovery options appeared and I selected the reboot now. It turned off but not on.

I had to click the power again to turn on... Then, 15 minutes stuck in galaxy logo. More half an hour stuck in Samsung logo, while the LED was animating blue&purple. And now, the screen is black and the LED is still in the animation.

I tried all the key combos i read online, all for several time: Force reboot (v down, power); Download (v down, power, home); Recovery (v up, power, home)
But nothing works!!!

What is happening? What can I do?, all was fine yesterday.
Unfortunely, the last backup I have is not upated

The battery is huge and all charged, I cannot wait a week for this to drain again....

Map real network drive on Android

Hi all.

I have been searching and searching. But I cant find it.
Is there a way to map a network drive to an android phone.
So it would act as a real network drive. To be shown and used sort of like an extra sd card.
So it can read and write on it WITHOUT having to download the files first.
Cause I know any file browser can do that ;) I have that already.
But that is not a network drive.
And also over the internet. Not just wifi. Webdav would be good.

Thanks!

Bluetooth headset frequently disconnects.

So, because of covid, I work from home now. I need reliable phone service and a reliable headset. I bought the plantronics voyager 5200 headset. It wasn't a cheap headset. When I first got it, it worked great. Now, it frequently will disconnect mid call. If I go to bluetooth settings, calls will be toggled off for the headset. If I try to turn it back on, it just turns back off quickly. The only way I can turn calls back on is to unpair the headset and re-pair it. Ive only had the headset a few weeks.

Am using HP Pavilion Gaming Notebook 16GB Ram Intel Core i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.6GHz (8 CPUs). ~2.6GHz
