Hi guys, I bought a used Note 9. The seller assured me it was gotten through TMobile and when I look at the package it came with, it has T-Mobile items in it

However apparently he inserted an ATT sim in it which apparently wiped the OS and made it AT&T. I have never heard about this sim profiling before. Right now, I cannot recieve SMS despite using the correct APN settings

What I want to do now, because I have no access to a TMobile sim is to try and install over this ROM with a TMobile ROM. How can I do this?

SM-N960U he said unlocked bought it through T Mobile. I just opened and turned it on and to my surprise it has the ATT firmware. I am very livid because when someone says "bought through T-Mobile" what I think is that this is a TMobile phone.

WHile I wait for him to get back to me, what are the consequences of running an AT&T unlocked phone on TMobile network. I am actually on MetroPCS. But its operated by TMobile. Will I still be able to use the phone like a TMobile phone? What features will I miss. VoLTE? roaming on US Cellular?

Lately I've been getting popups on the Facebook app on both my Android phone and tablet. It happens when I click on a story, and I guess it's on Facebook's internal browser, and I'm reading when all of a sudden a page pops up saying the site is not secure, and asking me to click on a link, which I don't do of course. I've ran a virus scan with Bit Defender, which I have on the devices, but it has turned up nothing. Any idea how to get rid of this annoyance?

I am trying to move music files from my PC to my Pixel 3a phone but the only option available is PTP (no MTP) which will allow photos but nothing else to transfer.

I've been trying to unlock the bootloader on my device (Huawei Honor 8X MAX) for a few days now. I've done everything under the moon, installed the proper drivers, uninstalled Bluestacks,reset my settings,updated my computer, ect. I have my unlock code but when I put it into ADB and Fastboot I get the error " Failed (command write failed (no error) ) I cant figure out whats wrong

Happy to be here and be an active, productive member as an android developer and enthusiast. I have over 22 years development experience mostly on the .NET platform but recently I made the shift to Kotlin and started down the road of android immersion. I want to use Secure Folder, but it requires a Samsung account to be added to the phone. Which then allows your secure folder pin to be reset, the whole phone to be remotely unlocked, reset the lockscreen, etc...

That defeats the purpose of secure folder to me. I dont want any of that ability. I want only me knowing the code and having the ability to unlock it.

Is there a way to use secure folder or add a samsung account without all that?

As the title said, I manage to install Android Studio with the Flutter plugin in my "Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS" PC... I also installed the Android SDK (API 28) Everything works fine until i start to start the emulator, i got this message

The problem is that the emulator works fine after its launch and any modifications in my code will be applied on the emulator!!!

By the way, the adb file exist in the android-platforms folder.

Frankly, I looked up the price. Two thousand dollars. TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR A PHONE? At those prices it better do a lot more than what a phone does. Make me breakfast in the morning, maybe?

Yesterday, LG/T-mobile did an unrequested update on my phone. Ostensibly this update is to provide "video dialing" but it messed up other things. It put new "audio HD" and video camera symbols on the call screen, in addition to putting them in the contact information. If I have a number with more than the basic 10 digits (either foreign number or a dynamically stored number with "+1"), I can't see the whole number as the "audio HD" symbol overlays the number. The only way to see the number is to make the call and catch it before the call goes through.

But worse is the audio of the person to whom I'm speaking. It went from a robust "normal" (for a phone call) sound to one that is "tinny", as if the person is speaking in a well. The treble is turned all the way up, making for an un-natural and un-comfortable call.

I spoke to both T-Mobile and LG Support. Incredibly, they installed an update with no provision for backing it out if there are user problems. That's completely un-acceptable (which would not be done on computer systems). The only way to undo this is with brute force - a factory reset! Which would undo my customizations which I would have to re-do, (assuming I could remember everything I did). And installed programs - I have a few - would be erased and I'd have to re-install them again.

When I asked about this not happening the next time there was an update, they each pointed to the other as to who is responsible for the timing, notification and downloading of updates.

And after all of this, I wouldn't use the video dialing anyway, as it would eat up tons of high speed data allocation.

I have a Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) with an otg and a Huawei USB mobile dongle with SIM and mobilnet, and it works almost fine.
My problem that is only almost fine, because it's not wifi nor cellular data, so some of my services / apps doesn't recognize that I have internet.

For example the Netflix runs flawlessly... but my HBO GO says there is no net... but its the same for some services as well fe. some of my Samsung tooĺs is not willing to update or use it.
I checked and its not because they are set to use wifi, there are no settings for which net should they use.

Myquestion is Isthere a cheat to force these services - appsto use usb dongle net?

I have a web app which is accessible via browser and I'd like to be able to ask the user if they want to install a desktop shortcut so they can access the app directly, without having to launch the browser.
