Hello,

I recently purchased a new Android 9 phone. With my previous Android 9 phone, I would transfer files and videos to my Windows 10 laptop via USB cable with no problem. But when I connect my new Android phone to my laptop, in This PC, it shows the phone folder, but when I click on the folder, it is empty. When I do the same thing with my old phone, it shows all of the documents and videos. Is there an adjustment that I need to make here?

Yes - this is currently connected to the internet.

1st problem I see is that Im unable to get into the Messenger settings.

2nd problem - All permissions for this are marked out in Red- & and can not see how I can get into the Permissions - see my upload photo -

I'm a noob to this forum so Hello All! Looks like a great board!
So there may be a more appropriate location for this question but being new I'm hoping for a little grace if I'm posting in the wrong place...
I purchased a Pixel 2 XL about 2 months ago. I love the phone with a single exception... After getting acclimated to the new features I had been reading about I set about trying different apps to see how they performed. I was dismayed to discover that the camera app didn't work! Technically it didn't work consistently.
The App I'm using is Goggle's Camera App and the version I have been trying to use is 7.4.201.322479879. I've since then tried a few other camera apps from the play store but keep getting the same performance issues. Subsequent attempts to troubleshoot the problem have gotten me the following tidbits of data...
1. The camera app does try to open whenever I tap the icon.
2. Usually when the app opens, it will show me a black viewfinder view for 2 to 4 seconds then crashes. If I check open apps it shows to still be open. When I try to "activate" it again it comes up for 2-3 seconds then crashes again.
3. Tantalizingly once out of every 15-20 attempts the app will actually run and I'll get a regular viewfinder display and am able to take photos normally.
4. Sometimes before it crashes, I can tap the "rotate" button and the app does go to selfie mode with a regular viewfinder displayed, and I am able to take selfies normally. Other times, it appears that it has rotated to selfie mode but the display remains black.

Now... After discovering this problem I "assumed" there was a problem with the hardware of some kind on that particular phone. I contacted the seller and requested assistance. Ultimately, I returned that phone to exchange it for another Google Pixel 2 XL. When the second phone arrived I immediately tested the camera app and was pissed that it demonstrated the same exact symptoms...

I've been limping along re-trying the app over and over again in hopes that I'll stumble onto the one time it works out of 20 before I lose the shot I'm trying to take. This is a very frustrating and distressing way to operate and I've searched for the answer high and low. So far I've not found anyone who could provide a tip/trick/fix that would address/fix this problem. When I contacted the seller again all they could offer me was another exchange or a refund.

I love this phone with the exception of this issue. I've found references to this problem being more widespread than just my two phones but as I said, no one seems to have a fix. I've suspected it might have been something to do with the most recent Android update but that's just a guess and I don't know how to "roll-back" (if that's even an option) to a previous version of the OS.

I'm hoping that someone here will be able to give me some hope that this is a fixable issue... I really hate the idea of having to abandon this phone because I think that otherwise, it is a pretty cool phone!
So... Please forgive me if I've posted all this in the wrong location or omitted some vital spec or piece of info. I'll gladly provide any other info that might be helpful. Thanks again for listening to this long-winded explanation! Intermittent issues are the worst!!!

phone restarts when installing factiry update,

I bought a new Samsung A 40 a few daty ago and find that it discharges quite quickly and doesn't last a full day.

I have also found that despite it having a 'fast charger' and is switched on to fast charging it takes at leat three hours to fully charge it. Is this normal?

On my slightly ancient but otherwise nicely functioning Lava Iris 88 a light has appeared at the top of the screen next to the loudspeaker / front camera. It won't go away even when I turn the phone off and it seems to be using a little battery life.
Any solutions as to how to turn it off please?

Yesterday I downloaded an image from Google Images. When I enter in the photo gallery to find it a strange thing happens:According to the phone, I didn't download the image yesterday, but in 2017! (In fact to find It I had to go to the end of the photo gallery). Today I tried again to download it and I downloaded it "today",no problem.

Hi, I've developed a simple game similar to old yoshi cookie (my girl friend love it and ask me to create a similar game).
I've used pixijs inside webview. Result seems good. I've tested on few phones but seemto works. Do you think is a good approach?

I changed the password on an att.net email account via my PC. I could not change the password on the account on my phone, so I deleted the account. Now when I try to add the account back in, I get a message that says 'User name or password incorrect'. The account works fine on the PC. ATT support is no help, more than 2 hours of people telling me they are not the right one to talk to and either transferring me or giving me another phone number. I did try to search the forum first but couldn't find anything. Any assistance would be most appreciated.

Surfing the internet I read an article on a website. In the article there was an Instagram video with several icons (likes, comments...) and also a strange icon ( I attach a photo taken from the web as example,but the situation is the same)
From the left:there is the like icon (heart),comments and then....? What does that symbol means (the arrow pointing up)?
I tried to click on it but nothing happens, if I click on the other icons it redirects me to instagram (ex: if I click on the like icon I get the message "log in to instagram to like", the input occurs). I repeat that I was on another site, I read an article with this video and this icon. What does it means? Did I accidentally share something ?

My tablet shows it is connected to home wifi (Comcast router) and the wifi icon shows data traffic arrows going up and down but any data dependent app (Chrome, Prime video, Netflix, Youtube, Google Play store) will not connect, says there is no connection/no internet. The Chrome error message is: ERR_PROXY_CONNECTION_FAILED. All other devices in the home connect fine. The tablet DOES work fine using different mobile hotspots however from both of my phones. I have rebooted and cleared the browser data and cache and rebooted the router. Any ideas? I have not tried it on a public wifi hotspot or different home network yet but will try that as well.

just got my 7t .... generally v good ... apart from notifications and prox sensor it seems .... only seem to get little icons on the ambient screen ... and prox sensor only sometimes works to wake device fully when using an app

Hi. I have an oppo 52 android phone. The bottom notification saying homescreen layout, stays there for about 2 minutes making it hard to write a message or anything. Is this a bug and is it possible to remove this feature? Thank you
