Hello everyone, I have a problem in my app development

I'm currently developing video live wallpaper and I'm having some issue. The video plays well, I also release the video every time onCompletion is invoked. However, when the mediaplayer object is prepared (onPrepared called) or playing, there will be around 5+ allocated buffer in the surfaceFlinger
I got it by calling the "adb shell dumpsys SurfaceFlinger" command
The allocated buffer will be back to one after the mediaplayer object is released
The dumpsys output is attached

Is this behavior normal? Is there some articles where I can learn about it?

The micro USB port of my phone is a Motorola G4 Play (Harpia) has stopped working for a long time — no data transfer of any sort, no OTG, no ADB, no File-Transfer, nothing; only charging works. I thought it was the port to PCB soldering, so I re-soldered it. Didn't work. I changed the Charging PCB (https://www.maxbhi.com/charging-connector-flex-cable-for-moto-g4-play.html), twice. Neither worked. Now, my LCD is broken, so it is unusable beyond being a wireless hotspot or for receiving calls. I'm in a dilemma whether I should replace it (₹1000+ for spares) or give up & move to a 2G Basic Phone.
Can anyone help me figure out why the USB data transfer is not happening in my device? I'd really love to repair it.

Note: It is not a driver issue as I use Linux & lsusb doesn't show the device. It is not a ROM issue either since the same happens in TWRP and across the ROMs I've flashed.

Hi, I would like to know if it is possible to install the Android Go edition (lite edition) on this camera phone please?
It will need to keep the functionality of the camera as the optical zoom and manual mode please.

If it is possible, where can I download the Android Go from an official resource please and is it free?

OK, so there have been many posts around this over time but setting up my 10+ I have revisited it.
There is no longer any need for NoteBuddy or any 3rd party app. They always played via the media stream so would not work on silent mode anyway hence my need for a Tasker task that used the app only for detection. so I could play the sound over the alarm stream. Of course this was far too loud so I had to drop the volume and reset it in the task.

Tasker can now detect the pen natively and setting this up for my 10 I thought I would share.

In the Profiles you Just need a Pen Out (State/Hardware/Pen Out) and an inverted one for Pen In.
These just need to link to tasks to play your sound.

I have used Next Launcher for years (Go Launcher back on the Note 1 Days).
The Note 8 warned that it was designed for older Android but it still ran. Note 10+ No. The icons wont align on the homescreen along with a host of other issues.

I switched to Nova. The problem is it will not let me individually change the icon display.
I'm not so fussed about icons in the folder but in the dock I want consistancy.
I can change the icon pack to a clean white pack but there is no icon for everything so my SMS app is not clean.

Does anyone know a launcher that offers Nova like performance and settings plus individual (or at least per dock icon) mapping.

Oh, Cube screen transition is a must have.

With the latest update on my Galaxy S9 when I go to unlock it it says 'roaming indicator off' on the top in the status bar it never showed this before. Any ideas how to get rid of this I do have roaming shut off.

My friend gave me this super cheap tablet and I didn't want to deal with changing up his email and such, so I did a factory reset. I think that bricked it,

It was working as fine as a tablet of this type could work until I reset it. Any ideas? This is what happens:

On power up, it prompts me to connect to the Internet. I successfully connect to my wireless network (or so it seems - it says "Connected"), Then I click "Next". It thinks for a couple of minutes and then comes back with an error message "Couldn't connect to the Internet."

I tried powering down and back up. I tried forgetting the network and reconnecting. I tried connected to my extender. I tried re-resetting.

IDK if I screwed up by using the pin trick the first time to rest. I used the Power Button plus Volume Up button the second time. About to try again.

Here are the options:

• Apply update from ADB
• Apply update from extsd
• Apply update from usbhost
• Wipe data/factory reset (did this one)
• Wipe cache partition
• Mount/system

The IRulu site is non-functioning, and there don't appear to be any updates or help files living outside of it.

Hi, help needed. On eBay there isa non brand name phone with Android version 9, and a Samsung phone, second hand, with Android 6. Please advise the advantages and disadvantages of both. If possible, please elaborate on how long support lasts for phones, how long after support stops apps stop working.

Wondering if anyone has any idea when the new LG G pad tablet will get android 10? It has Android 9 now, and I have not used android in years because I couldn't stand gingerbread version and switched to iOS for my phone and tablet, only got this LG gpad the other day since my iPad pro needs to be repaired, AND the Apple store is closed in Chicago, but I have to say android 9 is very good AND it would be interesting to see if 10 is an improvement or not. I will probably never get an android phone again since i love my iPhone but i do not regret getting this tablet at all, it's a nice size, 10.2 inches, beautiful display, good audio, and seems really fast... Only had it since Saturday though so hopefully my opinion of it doesn't change. Just wish it could sync with the iPhone for sms text messages.

Looking for a app that would work in tandem with a streaming music app.
(example : I use the Accuradio app to play streaming music, but the sound is flat, by default, and there is no option to equalize the sound)...
I can use my music player app, which has its own equalizer, and this is working fine, but this would be equalizing the streaming music coming through the speakers...
I'm not finding anything in the play store.... Thanks in advance.

(Long thread warning - But please read and help)

I am using a OnePlus One since a year now and I bought this phone in used condition and asked the dealer to install a custom rom in the device, as the device was old. I think there was Lineage OS system installed with the Android 9.0 version (not sure if what build of 9.0 was I using). The original OS is Cyanogen. The phone worked perfectly fine for a year. There were minute glitches in the OS like camera app sometimes didn't save clicked photos and the system crashed when camera or some other apps were used. Also, the google play store's region settings were also changed and I could not install all apps on the phone. This was the history.

I was using an android charger and cable to charge and it worked all fine with the phone. Unless, my sister who used Huawei phone, used my charger to charge her phone and I observed that my phone charged really slowly. But I ignored it and thought that I will buy the OnePlus One original charger in a few days.

So yesterday, I was using my phone for taking some photos, my phone's brightness was full and I was using the app called B612. I was out in the sun and these days are really hot here (around 45 degree Celsius, Don't know if it is related to my phone's problem or not). My phone was at 52% then. Suddenly, my phone turned off. I tried turning it on again, but it won't start. it starts and shows the OnePlus screen and turns off again and again turns on itself and does the same thing over and over again in a loop. My phone was hot. I tried to turn it off and keep it off, let it rest. I plug it in the charger, it charges normally. But the OS system won't turn on. My data wasn't backed up so I tried to back it up using TWRP recovery 3.3.0 already installed in it. Turned on the recovery mode using the volume down and power button, attached a USB with the phone to transfer my backup, but as soon as I hit the backup button on the recovery mode, the backup process starts and phone shuts down again and starts doing the same loop. I tried cooling it down, again turned it on the next day, but no help. Fastboot mode turns on fine. But when the next day, I tried turning on the recovery mode, the phone won't even turn that on. I don' even know, what to do. Somehow, the recovery started, I wiped the entire phone. Now there's nothing on the phone, no OS. I am planning to install a new custom ROM, but can't even seem to transfer the ROM files using USB, because on attaching USB, no folder appears on the computer although I have MTP mode activated through the recovery. How am I supposed to install a new ROM, when I can't even turn on the recovery, when the recovery shuts down whenever some major process starts. I don't understand what do I do? Please help. I am also uploading some short videos of the phone.

Since a couple of days I have this 'loading image' on my home screen, I don't know how it got there!
When I click it, it brings me to the alarm clock functions.
But I did not want this here and don't find how to remove it from there?

I have a Linx 1010B tablet which originally shipped with windows 10. It got quite slow so I decided to install android 9.0 on it (I tried android 7 and 8 as well which didn't resolve the problem I am about to describe).

I am having real problems with the apps. I try to install them, and sometimes apps don't install. I then have to re-install, and usually get a cap at around 8 apps, then the app store gets stuck on 'downloading', '95/99%' or 'installing' and just stays there. I don't know why this is the case and I have reinstalled android about 11 times, trying different versions and settings.

My further problem comes when I manage to download some apps, some work, and others don't. The main one I am interested in is amazon's kindle (so I can read like a tablet), but have a real problem in getting it to work. I have never gotten past the loading screen and it just crashes, in every install. There are a few other apps which just won't open either, and I am not sure if it is a conflict with my device settings or if there is anything I need to change in settings anywhere.

I tried downloading the amazon appstore to install the amazon apps via apk but even that keeps crashing at log screen and won't let me through.

Can anyone help or point me in a direction where I can resolve this issue?

I am an old school strategy and war game head. I actually played as a child on the old complex board war games with paper tables and data sheets, dice, and incredibly complicated rules, procedures, and protocols. I got my 1st PC. in 1982, I believe it was a TRASH80 (TRS 80) built and sold by Radio Shack. I continued to update and upgrade from an IBM 286 to present and became a A+CompTia Certified Computer Technician (Hardware and Software certs). blah blah blah ...so anyway my favorite entrainment and recreational activity on the PC was strategy gaming. More specifically, war based games , with which, among various other traits , a high degree of replayability was present. I looked for those sometimes rare games that had all the elements to become an obsession, an up for 36 continuous hours and still saying "just one more turn" or "i am stopping at 11pm" but can't type game. A number of games became obsessions over the years. probably led by a few all time favorites like the Civilization series, Starcraft, Total Anihilation, Rise of Nations , Age of Empires, titles in the Total War games line, and so forth. when mobile phones. became platforms for games along with everything else they are now capable of, I was always looking for an Android based strategy war game that was "an obcession". There were a couple that almost had the attributes to become obsession level games but lacked that indefinable replayability factor that made a person fill notebooks with info, knowledge, important tables etc or start leagues or clans or club's based on the games intricacies. I never quite found the holy grail of mobile strategy games that matched a PC game favorite in quality or obcessional level play,
until recently that is! My purpose here is to simply tout and turn you all on to my first Android strategy game obvession.

Note the developers interaction with players, and it's not just talk. This is basically a game totally made by one developer but with constant input from the large players community. His personal interaction with and suggestion taking style is amazing.

I Began playing AoS after trying a dozen other strategy war android games. 90% of the other games were either poorly developed and thought out or were just lame and boring to play. As soon I opened the cleanly installed AoS game I saw a fully developed concept and execution of a true wargamers game . Right from the main menu with numerous campaigns, battle types, single or multilayer scenarios and even a great tutorial campaign series that not only taught the game play basics but strategy. ITS AGreat game, it's my only android strategy game obcession. I will review the game play thoroughly at some point but this is a tout and shout. You should really try this game.

I live in Illinois, near Chicago and all this covid 19 b.s. has done is get me extremely pissed off. Who does the government think they are locking down everything over a virus. Mind you I have severe allergies and mild asthma, usually will not take the medication for either unless my boyfriend makes me or I really can barely breathe. The government expects me to comply with their b.s. over a virus, which means I have not been able to spend every second with my boyfriend and have constant attention from him and have nothing at all worthwhile to do except my damn job and study to further a career... Who am i doing any of that nonsense for? No one at all is who. Have not had any intimate attention from him since March and no guy can do anything about that by himself at any time ever, and that is more important than health in all manners. Teenage gay males are still out and doing their thing so why should my boyfriend and I have to suffer just because of a virus that is not overly contagious or deadly. They have tested over 700,000 people in Illinois and of that only like 125,000 are positive cases and of the 125,000 positive cases only 4,800 died from the alleged virus..... The numbers do not add up at all, this is nothing but an attempt to strip rights from the people, I did not think the government could outdo itself with what they did on 9/11, but they sure the he'll did. I am glad i have my concealed weapon permit and have it with me EVERYWHERE, and Illinois is starting to have huge protests over the unconstitutional lockdown which i support 100%.
